A Time For Joy
A PROMISE FROM MY GOD:
Ecclesiastes 3:4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
GOD’S MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY:
Some of the real joy in life is in the simple things. There’s such fun in making memories with my family: playing hide-and-seek in the house, watching the sunset at Roxas Boulevard, staring at the stars, eating, teasing one another and going places together.
I’ve learned that I don’t have to wait for all events to go my way to be happy. I don’t need to have everything perfect before I can feel at ease. I don’t need for people to always be on their toes before I can appreciate them.
It’s true that with every blessing comes responsibility and sometimes even a burden. I will never come to a place where I am problem free, having no conflicts, no bills to pay, and everybody is celebrating me. That's not reality.
If I won't learn to be content where I am, I won't be content even when all is fine. I won’t be relaxed even if each of my dreams will come to pass. I won’t be happy even if everyone around me strives hard to do his or her very best.
As the Bible says there is time for everything. So while I’m waiting for my time to laugh, at least I should learn to smile. While I’m waiting for my time to dance, I have to learn to be excited and grateful with what God blesses me.
While I’m waiting for my time to gather all that God meant for me, I have to learn to make the most of what’s in my hands now. And while I’m waiting for my time to embrace new friends, new ministry partners, new memories, I have to learn to love and celebrate those who are with me.
In God’s own beautiful time and perfect way, my situation will change. My prayers will be answered. I will reach my God given goals. For now, I will just be thankful for every grace and every kindness I receive from Christ no matter how small others may think it is.
MY PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You that my pain or frustrations aren’t here to stay. Thank You that none of my problems are permanent. Just please help me to endure whatever difficulty I’d need to go through with an attitude of faith, a grateful heart and a productive mind in Jesus name, amen!
