Beloved parishioners of the Diocese of Virac, our Diocese will offer a Eucharistic Celebration to extend our participation in the Peñafrancia Festivities in Naga. It will be an opportune time for us, Her children, to acknowledge the fullness of grace in her and express our devotion to our beloved Ina nin Bikolandia.

On September 16, 2025, make your way to the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral for a 6:00 AM start, where we will gather as a community of believers to celebrate the Holy Mass, with His Excellency, the Most Reverend Luisito Audal Occiano, D.D., Bishop of Virac, leading us in prayer and reflection. We humbly anticipate your presence as we come together to celebrate with us and strengthen the bonds that unite us as the Diocese of Virac.

Virac, Catanduanes – The Diocese of Virac announces the closing of its Golden Jubilee Year with a Solemn Thanksgiving Mass. The event will take place on August 27, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Virac, Catanduanes.

His Excellency, The Most Reverend Luisito Audal Occiano, D.D., Bishop of Virac, along with the clergy, religious, and faithful of the island-province of Catanduanes, cordially invite all to attend this momentous occasion.

The Mass will be presided over by His Grace Most Rev. Rex Andrew C. Alarcon, D.D., Archbishop of Caceres.

This Thanksgiving Mass marks the culmination of a year-long celebration commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Diocese of Virac. It is an opportunity to give thanks for the blessings and achievements of the past five decades and to look forward with hope and renewed commitment to the future.

Virac, Catanduanes – The Diocese of Virac is pleased to announce the Blessing of the First Phase of the Virac Clergy House. The ceremony will be held on August 27, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Virac Clergy House, Fiat Village, Cavinitan, Virac, Catanduanes.

The event will be presided over by His Excellency, The Most Reverend Manolo A. De Los Santos, D.D., Bishop Emeritus of Virac.

The Virac Clergy House is envisioned as a convenient and comfortable residence for priests, particularly those who are sick or vulnerable, providing a place where they can rest and receive professional care. This initiative underscores the Diocese's commitment to the well-being of its clergy, ensuring they have a supportive environment in which to recuperate and rejuvenate.

All members of the community are invited to join in this momentous occasion as we celebrate this significant milestone for the Diocese of Virac – the Closing of the Golden Year of the Diocese.

𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐇!

“Let the poor say “I am rich because of what the Lord has done for us'”.

This song echoes as the Bishop reminds us of the gifts we continue to receive from God.

“Mayaman kita nin huli ta biniyayaan kita kan Dios nin panahon o oras, pagtubod, relasyon o magayon na pag-iribahan. We will always be hopeful, dai kita tulos madidisganar kun igwa kita nin pagtubod”, the Bishop says.

Unless we acknowledge how the Lord works for us, faith and hope remain passive virtues. We tend to forget that they are meant to be lived out in our daily lives. Faith calls us to act with love, compassion, and justice so that we may be able to see the things we hope for and that we may never lose sight of the kingdom of God.

That is why, “Itanom niato sa mga aki, jovenes an kayamanan nin pagtubod”, the Bishop acclaims.
