Today, we thank God for the gift of the priesthood in the life of Fr. Mark Angelo B. Arcilla, as he celebrates his 6th Sacerdotal Anniversary.

Six years of saying yes to God of celebrating the Eucharist, forgiving, accompanying, serving, and journeying with His people. May the Lord continue to strengthen his heart, renew his joy, and make his priesthood a humble instrument of Christโ€™s love.

May Mary, Mother of Priests, continue to guide and protect him, and may Christ, the Eternal High Priest, keep his heart faithful to the altar and generous in service.

On August 27, we joyfully celebrate the Anniversary of the Dedication of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Cathedral, the mother church of our Diocese and a visible sign of our unity as one People of God gathered around our Bishop.

On this same day, we gratefully commemorate the Founding Anniversary of the Diocese of Virac, established on August 27, 1974. We give thanks to God for the gift of our local Church and for the many blessings He continues to shower upon our Diocese.

Liturgical Reminder:
The Anniversary of the Dedication of the Cathedral is celebrated as a Solemnity in the Cathedral and as a Feast in all parishes and churches of the Diocese, according to the Dedication of a Church and an Altar, no. 26.

Let us celebrate this grace-filled occasion with faith, gratitude, and renewed communion, as we continue to build together the Church of Christ in the Diocese of Virac.

May Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, patroness of our Cathedral, continue to intercede for our Diocese and all her people.

More than just numbers, this gathering is a beautiful expression of our shared commitment to know, understand, and love the sacred liturgy more deeply.

We are grateful to everyone who participated, served, and helped make this formation possible. May what we have learned inspire us to celebrate the liturgy with greater reverence and to live our faith more faithfully each day.

As we end this Basic Formation on Liturgy, may we all carry with us not only what we have learned, but also a renewed love for the liturgy and a deeper desire to serve God and His Church.
