Do you think I speak this strongly in order to manipulate crowds? Or curry favor with God? Or get popular applause? If my goal was popularity, I wouldn’t bother being Christ’s slave.

Know this—I am most emphatic here, friends—this great Message I delivered to you is not mere human optimism. I didn’t receive it through the traditions, and I wasn’t taught it in some school. I got it straight from God, received the Message directly from Jesus Christ.(Galatians 1:10‭-‬12 MSG)

Dear graduating students, the Class of 2020,

We know this is not the graduation ceremony you expected. We also know that this is something you and your families have been anticipating for many years.

We are also fully aware that the actions of our government and the Department of Education to prevent COVID-19 spread have caused a disruption in this special moment in your lives as well as gave you anxiety and concern.

We are as heartbroken as you are that opportunities to celebrate your crowning achievements, are being impacted by this global crisis.

We know that many of you have successfully navigated challenging situations in the past, and while this one is certainly both historic and unique and which is something we will never truly forget, we are confident that each of you will not only persevere, but learn from this experience. Indeed, we all will learn much from this extraordinary challenge.

We are please and happy that you continued to hold on to your faith in God despite these challenges.

We are with you in this celebration.
