Focus: Knowing God’s love and God’s Word
Goals: Build faith basics, Christlike character, and joyful worship
Methods: Bible stories, songs, crafts, games, memory verses

Outcome: Children grow with a strong spiritual foundation and love for church

Focus: Faith ownership and identity in Christ
Goals: Biblical worldview, moral discernment, leadership development

📖Bible Text: Psalm 119:105
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Lesson Type: Outcomes-Based Learning (OBE)
I. Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)
At the end of the lesson, learners will be able to:
Cognitive (Knowing):
Explain the meaning of Psalm 119:105 in their own words.
Affective (Believing):
Appreciate the Bible as God’s guidance for daily life.
Psychomotor (Doing):
Demonstrate practical ways to follow God’s Word in everyday decisions.

II. Key Concept
📖 God’s Word guides us, protects us, and helps us make right choices in life.

III. Materials Needed
Bible
Flashlight or lamp (real or picture)
Paper and crayons / markers
Chart paper or whiteboard

IV. Lesson Flow (OBE-Aligned)
1. Engage (Motivation / Experience) – 10 minutes
Activity: “Light and Darkness”
Dim the lights (if possible) or show a picture of darkness.
Ask:
Can you walk safely in the dark?
What helps you see where to go?
Turn on a flashlight.
Explain: Light helps us see the right way—just like God’s Word helps us live rightly.
👉 Outcome Focus: Learners connect experience with the lesson concept.

2. Explore (Bible Interaction) – 10 minutes
Read Psalm 119:105 together.
Let learners repeat the verse aloud.
Ask guiding questions:
What is God’s Word compared to?
Why do we need light on our path?
👉 Outcome Focus: Understanding Scripture meaning.

3. Explain (Teaching Input) – 10 minutes
Simple Teaching Points:
Lamp to my feet – God’s Word guides us step by step.
Light to my path – God’s Word helps us see where we are going.

Learners draw a path.
Along the path, they write or draw situations (school, home, friends).
Beside each, write one way God’s Word can guide them.
Activity Option B (Youth):
Small-group discussion:
How can the Bible guide us when we are tempted?
What Bible verse helps you choose what is right?

👉 Outcome Focus: Application of learning in real life.

5. Assess (Check for Outcomes) – 5 minutes
Ask learners to complete this sentence:
“God’s Word is like a lamp because __________.”
Or: Let them share one decision they can make using God’s Word.

👉 Outcome Focus: Evidence of learning achieved.

6. Reflect & Pray (Values Integration) – 5 minutes
Short reflection:
Do I allow God’s Word to guide my life?
Closing Prayer:
Thank God for His Word.
Ask God to help us follow His light every day.
