p of Christians (Santa Maria Auxiliadora de los Cristianos), said to be one of the oldest images of Mary under the said title. The community of Bitik encompasses two places, the old Bitik (Looban) and the Deato Subdivision. The community is under the jurisdiction of the Parish of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima.

Showing here is the official portrait of Simba-Aralan sa Kapilya ng Bitik.

The central figure shows a seated Our Lady as Mary Help of Christians, patroness of Bitik SPPC with the Child Jesus; the Child Jesus with an open Bible on His lap and with His extended hands that seemingly preaching, while Our Lady is pointing her fingers towards the Child Jesus, an allusion to her role as hodegetria, "she who shows the way," as if She is saying, "listen to my Son."

Behind Our Lady and the Child Jesus is an open window showing the Bitik Chapel as one of the venues of Simba-Aralan. The right side shows a wall decorated with framed pictures of model saints for the youth: Saint Carlo Acutis, Saints Francisco and Jacinta Marto, and Saint Dominic Savio of the Salesians. An altar can be seen below the framed pictures, with an image of Saint John Bosco, "the Father and Teacher of the Youth" and founder of the Salesian Order. The wall on the left side shows the official portrait of Simba-Aralan of the Diocese of Malolos. Underneath is a flowering sampaguita plant, an allusion to the goal of Simba-Aralan: to cultivate and develop a thriving youth of today by means of teaching and reinvigorating their knowledge on their faith.

Encircling Our Lady and the Child Jesus are eighteen young children listening attentively to the teachings of the Child Jesus, representing two youths from the nine areas of Bitik SPPC.

Let us support the Simba-Aralan of the Diocese of Malolos.

Anticipating the joyful celebration of the upcoming 63rd Bitik Fiesta, the venerable image of Mary Help of Christians of Sitio Bitik will have its visitation at the Barangay Hall of Barangay Gen. T. De Leon on May 15, 2026 (Friday), the first day of novena, at 7:00 in the morning.

Sitio Bitik is located in the southern part of Gen. T. de Leon (Purok 1), and one of the earliest settlements in the said barangay. In 1960s, Sitio Bitik became the home of the devotion to Mahal na Birhen Auxiliadora (Mary Help of Christians) until the present.

Mary Help of Christians,

Ako po si Carol Rivera, miyembro ng choir. Nais ko pong ibahagi ang isang napakahalagang karanasan sa aming buhay. Isang patunay ng kapangyarihan ng panalangin.

Ang aking anak ay isang basketball player na may pangarap at pagmamahal sa kanyang laro. Ngunit dumating po ang isang pagsubok nang siya ay mabalian ng buto sa paa noong 2015. Ayon po sa mga doktor, may posibilidad na hindi na siya makapaglaro muli dahil sa mga multiple fractures na natamo niya. Bilang isang ina, para pong gumuho ang aking mundo. Napakasakit pong tanggapin na ang pangarap ng aking anak ay maaaring doon na magtapos.

Sa gitna ng aking takot at pangamba, lumapit ako sa aking pananampalataya. Lumapit ako sa Mahal na Birhen Auxiliadora, araw-araw na nananalangin, umiiyak, humihingi ng tulong at paggaling para sa aking anak. Inalay ko po sa kanya ang lahat.

Habang papalapit ang planong operasyon, patuloy po ang aking pananalig. Iniskedyul ang araw ng operasyon ng May 23, bisperas ng kapistahan ng Mahal na Birhen Auxiliadora. Hindi ko po naisip na kawawa naman ang anak ko, pare-pareho kaming mahihirapan. Ang tangi kong nasabi ay hindi papayag ang Mahal na Birhen na wala ako sa kanyang kapistahan bukas, Mayo 24.

At sa awa ng Diyos, sa pamamagitan ng Mahal na Birhen, isang himala ang naganap. Sa muling pagsusuri ng doktor, hindi na po kinakailangan ng operasyon ang aking anak. In-x ray uli siya bago operahan, at nung lumabas yung x-ray, parang hindi daw nabali yung buto, nagdugtong na sya, at nabalot na ng laman

Ngunit hindi po doon nagtapos ang biyaya, sa kabila ng sinabi ng doktor na hindi na siya makakapaglaro muli, siya po ay muli pong nakatayo, nakakatakbo, at muli pong nakapaglaro. At higit pa sa inaasahan, siya ay nakapaglaro sa team ng Valenzuela sa MPBL.

Sa karanasang ito, lalo pong tumibay ang aking pananampalataya. Napatunayan ko po na walang imposible sa Diyos at ang Mahal na Birhen Auxiliadora ay tunay na Ina na handang dumamay at umalalay sa atin. Bilang isang choir member, mas lalo ko pong iniaalay ang aking tinig bilang pasasalamat. Ang bawat awit ko ay panalangin at pagpupuri sa Diyos na gumawa ng himala sa aming buhay.

Maraming salamat po. nawa'y magsilbi itong inspirasyon sa lahat na patuloy na manalig, magtiwala, at kumapit sa Diyos.

Purihin ang Diyos at ang Mahal na Birhen Auxiliadora!

Upon the invitation of Bro. Tony Paulino and the Fiesta Committee, Bitik SPPC represented by its president, Bro. Danilo Lumabas, attended the homecoming and re-enthronement of the original image of Mary Help of Christians, patroness of Maypajo, Caloocan City.

The venerable image underwent a series of restorations by Albert Foronda, a renowned imaginero from Pampanga in preparation for the 70th founding anniversary of its parish this year. The image left its parish for the abovementioned restoration for almost seven months.

The event started with an assembly at the St. Joseph the Workman Parish, comprising the faithful from the said parish and from the Mary Help of Christians Parish in Maypajo, where the procession will start. The newly restored image of Maria Auxiliadora, with her new vestments from Jeffrey Catuira was borne on a procession together with the image of Saint Joseph from the host parish. The procession led to Mary Help of Christians Parish in Maypajo, where it was joyously welcomed by the faithful there. The event culminated with a Holy Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Kennedy A. Neral and Rev. Fr. Paul Nicklaus C. Woo, parish priest and parochial vicar of Mary Help of Christians Parish, respectively.

Arguably, Sitio Bitik in Valenzuela City is the only place within the Diocese of Malolos that has a place of worship wherein Mary Help of Christians serves as its patroness. Maypajo in Caloocan City, under the Diocese of Kalookan, is the most proximate place of devotion to Maria Auxiliadora.

A heartfelt felicitations to Mary Help of Christians Parish - Diocese of Kalookan for this event. We are looking forward for a fruitful collaboration, rooted on the purpose of promoting the devotion to Mary Help of Christians. Viva Auxiliadora!

Jesus said: "Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever does not enter a sheepfold through the gate but climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber. But whoever enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice, as the shepherd calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has driven out all his own, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him, because they recognize his voice. But they will not follow a stranger; they will run away from him, because they do not recognize the voice of strangers." Although Jesus used this figure of speech, the Pharisees did not realize what he was trying to tell them.

So Jesus said again, "Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly."

There are many times that the image of Mary Help of Christians was brought outside of her community in many events. During the year 2020, when liturgical activities were suspended in all SPPCs of the parish due to the pandemic, the image was brought to Fatima Shrine to celebrate its feast day, May 24, the first time that her feast was celebrated outside the chapel.

Aside from this, the image was usually invited in many Marian processions and exhibits. The image has been a regular participant in the Marian Procession in Honor of Our Lady of Fatima in her mother parish, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima from 2013 to 2019. It also participated in the Grand Marian Procession of San Diego de Alcala Parish in Polo in December 2019 in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Hijas de Maria, and quite recently, it also participated in the Marian Procession of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Chapel under the Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Malinta last year, October 2025.
