STAGNANT na ba ang church?
o Baka naman DYING na?
Isa sa mga STRUGGLES ng churches ngayon ay kung paano mag-grow!
Madami na ang SINUBUKAN
Madami na ang BINAGO
Madami na ang INALIS sa tradisyon
Madami na ang IDINAGDAG na STRATEGIES
Pero bakit hindi pa rin growing?
Simple lang naman ang sagot.
Ang church ay hindi tungkol sa PASTOR
Ang church ay hindi tungkol sa LEADERS
Ang church ay hindi tungkol sa MEMBERS
at lalong ang church ay hindi tungkol sa kung ano GINAGAWA natin.
Ang Church ay tungkol sa ATIN.
Ito ay tungkol sa LAHAT ng bahagi ng KATAWAN ni Cristo dahil iisang katawan tayo.
Hindi pwedeng iisang bahagi lang ng katawan ang GROWING. Dapat lahat ng parts ng katawan ay LUMALAGO. Dapat lahat ng members ay UMUUNLAD sa pananampalataya Kay Cristo.
Kaya nga tungkol sa KATAWAN, tungkol sa Church, pangunahin sa dapat isapamuhay ang PAGKAKAISA at KAISAHAN. Ito ang susi sa Paglago.
Hindi lalago ang church kung PASTOR lang ang kumikilos.
Hindi lalago ang church kung LEADERS lang ang kumikilos.
Hindi lalago church kung ILAN lang sa members ang kumikilos. Dapat LAHAT AY GUMAGAWA ng kanilang TUNGKULIN ayon sa KALOOB sa bawat isa ng Banal na Espiritu. (1 Corinthians 12)

Another Sunday in His presence. ๐Ÿค

And last Sunday, we were reminded that there is a difference between simply ๐™จ๐™š๐™š๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ Jesus and truly ๐™›๐™ค๐™ก๐™ก๐™ค๐™ฌ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ Him.

It is easy to come near Jesus,
to see Him, admire Him, and call Him Lord.

But Jesus does not only call us to look at Him.
๐™ƒ๐™š ๐™˜๐™–๐™ก๐™ก๐™จ ๐™ช๐™จ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™›๐™ค๐™ก๐™ก๐™ค๐™ฌ ๐™ƒ๐™ž๐™ข.

There is no shortcut in our journey of faith

To follow means to leave our own way,
let Him lead,
walk in His footsteps,
and keep going wherever He goes.

Because seeing Jesus may inspire you,
but following Him transforms you.

Sometimes, we think boundaries are meant to keep us from living freely.

But God teaches us to set boundaries because He knows what can quietly pull us away from Him.

๐˜Ž๐˜ถ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ต,
because everything you do flows from it.

๐˜ž๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ค๐˜ฉ ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ฅ๐˜ด,
because what comes out of you reveals what is within.

๐˜๐˜ช๐˜น ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฆ๐˜บ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด,
because what you focus on can shape the direction you take.

because not every path is worth walking.

Not every thought ๐™™๐™š๐™จ๐™š๐™ง๐™ซ๐™š๐™จ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ฎ.
Not every word ๐™ฃ๐™š๐™š๐™™๐™จ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™—๐™š ๐™จ๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™ ๐™š๐™ฃ.
Not every path ๐™ฃ๐™š๐™š๐™™๐™จ ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™—๐™š ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ ๐™š๐™ฃ.

Because sometimes, the boundary God asks you to set
is the very thing that protects you from losing your way.

โ€œIn 2015, Andrew became the lead pastor of his parentsโ€™ church, and I quickly found ways to fill my new role as lead pastorโ€™s wife,โ€ wrote Kayla Stoecklein in 2020. โ€œI served on the womenโ€™s ministry team, set up for the MOPS group on Wednesdays, and arrived on time for the very first service every single Sunday.

Ministry was everything. Our entire world revolved around the local church and the calling God had placed on Andrewโ€™s life. His calling became my calling; his passion, my passion; his purpose, my purpose.

Then on August 25, 2018, after battling through a season of burnout, depression, and anxiety, my beloved husband Andrew tragically died by su***de.

Life as I knew it changed forever and I was handed a brand-new life as a widow and single mom to our three young boys.

The truth Iโ€™ve found through my former role as a pastorโ€™s wife is that pastors are people too. They arenโ€™t superhuman; they are human. They arenโ€™t invincible; they are just broken vessels giving it their best shot to be a bright light in a really dark and desperate world. Not everything that looks good is good for us.

In Genesis 13:5โ€“13, Lot saw the well-watered plain of the Jordan and chose what looked like the better opportunity. But his choice brought him closer to S***m, where the people were wicked and sinful against the Lord.

Sometimes, we can see the ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ต, ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜บ, ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ง๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ด of a choice without seeing what it may cost us spiritually.

A โ€œfake blessingโ€ may look appealing on the outsideโ€”๐˜ฃ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜บ ๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ด, ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฎ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ต, ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜จ๐˜ข๐˜ช๐˜ฏโ€”while quietly pulling our hearts away from God.

So before choosing what looks good, pause and ask:

โ€œ๐™‡๐™ค๐™ง๐™™, ๐™ž๐™› ๐™ฉ๐™๐™ž๐™จ ๐™ž๐™จ ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฉ ๐™›๐™ค๐™ง ๐™ข๐™š, ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š๐™ฃ ๐™™๐™ค ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฉ ๐™ก๐™š๐™ฉ ๐™ž๐™ฉ ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง ๐™ข๐™ฎ ๐™ก๐™ž๐™›๐™š.โ€

Lotโ€™s story reminds us that what looks right in our eyes may not always lead us in the right direction.

We need to look beyond what is immediately appealing and consider where our choices are taking usโ€”and whether they are drawing us closer to God or away from Him.

Sometimes, all it takes is one Sunday to remind us that there is always more to what God is doing than what we can see.

Thatโ€™s why we were reminded that not everything that looks good is always good for us. Sometimes, what looks like a blessing can make us pause and ask, โ€œIs this really from God?โ€

Weโ€™re grateful for the opportunity to gather, worship, and learn together. Come worship with us and be part of what God is doing in our church. ๐Ÿค
