🏟️ THE CAPITAL ARENA — ILAGAN CITY, ISABELA
✨ A VENUE WORTH CONSIDERING FOR UPC GENERAL CONFERENCE 2028

We had the opportunity to visit The Capital Arena at the Civic Center, Barangay Alibagu, City of Ilagan, Isabela, and we were impressed by this beautiful and modern facility.

We were graciously accompanied and toured around the arena by Pastor Herbert Villas and his wife, Min. Grace Villas. Thank you for taking the time to show us around and for sharing with us the wonderful facilities of Ilagan City. 🙏

Inaugurated on November 24, 2024, The Capital Arena has a seating capacity of 10,000 people and is recognized as the largest indoor arena in the Cagayan Valley Region (Region II).

Some of the features that caught our attention:

• 🏟️ 10,000-seat capacity
• 🚻 Restrooms available on every floor/box level
• ✨ Newly constructed and modern facilities
• ❄️ Very comfortable and pleasantly cool inside
• 📺 LED screens outside
• 🎤 Suitable for large gatherings, concerts, sports events, cultural festivals, and other major occasions

Another thing we appreciated is its strategic and convenient location. The arena is surrounded by a central terminal, hotels, a mall, restaurants and food establishments, and various other commercial establishments, making it convenient for guests and delegates coming from different places.

Having personally seen the venue, we believe The Capital Arena could be a wonderful option to consider for a future UPC General Conference, particularly GenCon 2028, should the leadership find Ilagan City suitable.

This is simply our humble observation and appreciation after visiting the facility—not a formal proposal or announcement. We are grateful for the opportunity to see what Ilagan City has to offer.

Who knows? Perhaps one day, we may have the privilege of gathering here for a great UPC fellowship and celebration. 🙏

A blessed Sunday at UPC Ilagan, under the leadership of Pastor Herbert Villas, where Pastor Arniel Romero had the privilege of preaching God’s Word.

Just like tea, its true flavor is not fully released in cold water—it takes hot water to bring out its richness and aroma. ☕️

In the same way, the true strength and character of our faith are often revealed not in seasons of comfort, but in moments of pressure, trials, and challenges.

Pressure doesn’t always destroy us; sometimes, it reveals what God has already placed within us.

Kaya huwag matakot sa mga season na mainit, mabigat, at mahirap. Instead, stay soaked in the presence of God. The more we remain in His presence, the more our faith is strengthened, our character is refined, and the fragrance of Christ becomes evident in our lives.

Kapag dumaan sa pressure, lumalabas ang tunay na laman.

And when a true Christian is under pressure, may what comes out be faith, worship, obedience, and unwavering trust in God. 🙏🔥

A PRIVILEGE TO SERVE | NELD TEACHERS’ CONFERENCE 2026

What a wonderful privilege and blessing to be the preacher at the NELD Teachers’ District Conference held on August 21, 2026 in Cauayan City, Isabela🙏

The conference brought together teachers and leaders from the three sections of the Northern Eastern Luzon District (NELD), representing the Cagayan Valley Administrative Region (Region II)—Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the NELD District Sunday School Department for the trust, warm welcome, and opportunity to minister to those who faithfully teach and lead others in the Word of God.

Special thanks to the District SSD Director, Pastor Ronald Digap and his beautiful wife - Min. Erma Joyce Digap, and the SSD District Secretary, Pastor Cris Lovena and to all SSD Directors and Secretaries of the three Sections for the invitation and for giving the opportunity to share God’s Word to the dedicated Sunday School teachers and leaders of NELD.

Special thanks as well to Pastor Romeo Crisostomo and his beautiful wife, Maria Elena Crisostomo for the transportation and all the services assistance. Your kindness and support are deeply appreciated.

And a heartfelt thank you to the District Presbyter, Pastor Ronaldo Laceo Prieto, for the warm welcome and gracious hospitality. It was truly a blessing to be with you and the brethren of NELD.

It is always a joy to share the Word, but it is an even greater privilege to speak to those who are committed to teaching, equipping, and reaching the next generation for Jesus.

May the Lord continue to strengthen every Sunday School teacher and leader. May we remain faithful in teaching the Word, passionate about souls, and committed to the Great Commission.
