Ended right
The WORD refreshes but the World exhausted
Sometimes the news feels like a constant stream of heaviness. War. Division. Violence. Uncertainty. Headline after headline reminding us how fragile this world really is.
There are moments when reading it makes the heart feel tired… anxious… even fearful. It can feel as if darkness is getting louder and louder.
But something beautiful happens when we open the Word of God.
The same heart that felt anxious suddenly becomes steady. The same mind that felt overwhelmed becomes quiet. The same soul that felt afraid becomes courageous. Why?
Because the news tells us what is happening in the world. But the Word of God reminds us who is still on the throne. The news reports chaos. The Word reveals sovereignty.
The news shows us how broken humanity can be. The Word shows us how faithful God remains. When we read the headlines, we are reminded how uncertain tomorrow is. But when we read Scripture, we are reminded that our tomorrow is already held in the hands of God.
This is why believers throughout history have survived wars, persecution, disasters, and uncertainty. Their courage did not come from good circumstances. Their courage came from the promises of God.
The world feeds our fears. But the Word feeds our faith. And the more we fill our hearts with truth, the less power fear has over us.
Maybe the reason many believers feel overwhelmed today is not because the world has become darker, but because we have spent more time reading the news than reading the promises.
When the voice of the world becomes louder than the voice of God, anxiety begins to grow. But when the Word becomes our daily bread, courage begins to rise.
God never promised that the world would become peaceful before Christ returns. In fact, Scripture tells us the opposite. But He also promised something far greater: He promised to be with us.
And the presence of God has always been the courage of His people.
So if the news ever makes your heart weary, anxious, or afraid, do what the saints before us have always done.
Close the headlines for a moment. Open the Word.
And let the voice of God remind your soul that no matter what happens in this world…
He is still faithful.
He is still sovereign.
And His promises still stand ❤️🔥
