“I don’t own it, because I own nothing.”

In 2 Samuel 24:18–25, David was given the opportunity to offer to the Lord without paying the cost. But David refused.

“I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” - 2 Samuel 24:24

David understood that true worship and stewardship involve giving God what He deserves, not simply what is convenient.

Everything we have is entrusted to us by God. Our time, talents, resources, and even our lives.

We are not owners. We are stewards.
And faithful stewardship means recognizing that everything belongs to Him.

May we, like David, have hearts that are willing to give, not because we have to, but because we know God is worthy.
