Job 23:1-17 NIV
JOB
23 ¹Then Job replied:

2 “Even today my complaint is bitter;
his hand[a] is heavy in spite of my groaning.
3 If only I knew where to find him;
if only I could go to his dwelling!
4 I would state my case before him
and fill my mouth with arguments.
5 I would find out what he would answer me,
and consider what he would say to me.
6 Would he vigorously oppose me?
No, he would not press charges against me.
7 There the upright can establish their innocence before him,
and there I would be delivered forever from my judge.

8 “But if I go to the east, he is not there;
if I go to the west, I do not find him.
9 When he is at work in the north, I do not see him;
when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him.
10 But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me,I will come forth as gold.
11 My feet have closely followed his steps;
I have kept to his way without turning aside.
12 I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.

13 “But he stands alone, and who can oppose him?
He does whatever he pleases.
14 He carries out his decree against me,
and many such plans he still has in store.
15 That is why I am terrified before him;
when I think of all this, I fear him.
16 God has made my heart faint;
the Almighty has terrified me.
17 Yet I am not silenced by the darkness,
by the thick darkness that covers my face.

Sumagot si Job
23 ¹Pagkatapos, sinabi ni Job, ²“Hanggang ngayoʼy labis pa rin ang hinaing ko. Pinahihirapan pa rin ako ng Dios sa kabila ng labis kong pagdaing. ³Kung alam ko lang kung saan ko siya hahanapin; kung makakapunta lang sana ako sa kinaroroonan niya, ⁴sasabihin ko sa kanya ang aking kaso at ilalahad ang aking katuwiran. ⁵Gusto kong malaman kung ano ang isasagot niya sa akin at gusto ko ring maintindihan ang sasabihin niya. ⁶Makikipagtalo kaya siya sa akin gamit ang kapangyarihan niya? Hindi! Hindi niya iyon gagawin, kundi pakikinggan niya ako. ⁷Ang taong matuwid na tulad ko ay maaaring mangatuwiran sa harap ng Dios na aking hukom, at palalayain niya ako nang lubusan.

⁸‐⁹“Hinanap ko ang Dios sa kung saan-saan – sa silangan, kanluran, hilaga, at timog, pero hindi ko siya matagpuan. ¹⁰Ngunit alam niya ang ginagawa ko. Pagkatapos na masubukan niya ako, makikita niyang malinis ako tulad ng lantay na ginto. ¹¹Sinunod ko ang kanyang mga pamamaraan; hindi ko ito sinuway. ¹²Sinusunod ko ang kanyang mga utos, at iniingatan ko ito sa aking puso. Pinahahalagahan ko ang mga salita niya ng higit pa sa pang-araw-araw na pagkain ko.

¹³ “Pero malaya ang Dios na gawin ang nais niyang gawin; walang sinumang makahahadlang sa kanya. ¹⁴ Kaya gagawin niya ang binabalak niyang gawin sa akin, at marami pa siyang planong gagawin sa akin. ¹⁵Kaya natatakot ako sa kanya. At kapag iniisip ko ito, lalo akong natatakot. ¹⁶ Pinanghihina ako at tinatakot ng Makapangyarihang Dios. ¹⁷ Pero hindi ako tumigil sa pagdaing kahit na para akong nababalutan ng kadiliman.

Mga Pangitain at mga Pahayag
12 ¹Kailangan ko pang magmalaki, kahit wala akong mapapala dito. Ang sasabihin ko naman ngayo'y ang mga pangitain at mga pahayag mula sa Panginoon. ²May kilala akong isang Cristiano na dinala sa ikatlong langit, labing-apat na taon na ang nakakalipas. Hindi ko lang matiyak kung iyo'y isang pangitain lamang, o tunay na pangyayari; ang Diyos lamang ang nakakaalam. ³Alam kong ang taong iyon ay dinala sa Paraiso. Hindi ko lang alam kung iyon ay isang pangitain o tunay na pangyayari. Tanging Diyos ang nakakaalam. ⁴Nakarinig siya ng mga bagay na hindi kayang ilarawan ng salita at hindi maaaring sabihin ninuman. ⁵Ipagmamalaki ko ang taong iyon, at hindi ang aking sarili, maliban sa aking mga kahinaan. ⁶At kung ako'y magmalaki man, hindi ako lalabas na hangal, sapagkat totoo ang sasabihin ko. Ngunit hindi ko ito gagawin, sapagkat ayaw kong mag-isip ang sinuman nang higit tungkol sa akin kaysa kanyang nakita o narinig sa akin. ⁷Ngunit upang hindi ako magyabang sa dami ng kamangha-manghang mga bagay na nasaksihan ko, ako'y binigyan ng pahirap sa aking katawan na nagsisilbing sugo ni Satanas upang pahirapan ako, at nang sa gayo'y hindi ako maging palalo. ⁸Tatlong beses kong idinalangin sa Panginoon na alisin ito, ngunit ⁹ganito ang kanyang sagot, “Ang kagandahang-loob ko ay sapat na para sa iyo, sapagkat lubusang nahahayag ang aking kapangyarihan kapag ikaw ay mahina.” Kaya't buong galak kong ipagmamalaki ang aking mga kahinaan upang manatili sa akin ang kapangyarihan ni Cristo. ¹⁰Alang-alang kay Cristo, ako'y may kasiyahan sa gitna ng mga kahinaan, mga pagkutya, mga kahirapan, pag-uusig at kagipitan. Sapagkat kapag ako ay mahina, doon ako nagiging malakas.

2 Corinthians 12:1-10 NIV

Paul’s Vision and His Thorn
12 I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell. 5 I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses. 6 Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say, 7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness". Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

FOCUS: Repentance

We have all.
All. I love how many times this word happens in this one verse in Isaiah.

We have ALL become unclean.

We ALL of us have polluted the good things we do with the sins that stink us up.

ALL of us shrivel up and die because of our unrighteousness.

All of us.
But, Jesus came for ALL of us. He paid the price for our sin, so that we could be washed clean through the forgiveness that only comes through accepting His gift of salvation.

And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:11 (ESV)

Don’t get what you deserve
We all deserve death. Our sins condemn us, but Jesus loved us enough to give Himself in exchange for us.

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 (ESV)

There is no greater love than what Jesus did for us.

All we have to do
All we have to do is believe and accept what Jesus did for us. And it is open to ALL of us.

Let God mold you
But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand. Isaiah 64:8 (ESV)

We need our Creator God to help us. To mold us and clean us up. We all need to submit our will to His.

Let’s ask God to wash us clean today.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

TODAY'S PRAYER:
Prayer for Physical, Spiritual, Emotional, and Mental Healing:
Almighty Father God,
You are the Creator King, the master builder, the architect of an intricate and astounding world. You breathe new life into each moment and hold everything in place with your mighty hand. Your disciples were courageous and spirit filled, they carried the Holy Spirit in their hearts and were given authority to bring healing. I ask now for your Holy Spirit to move in this body. Lord, come heal him/her with your restoring power may it be physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. Be Lord of this body, come set it back in perfect balance. You have given Your only begotten son for us, He becomes our Saviour, Jesus, He walked on the earth, trod upon hard places, felt the strain of this world and the pressures of mental torment. So I ask that you would come besides us now, lead us through this time where the mind can not cope. Help us to find peace and calming inner thoughts. You promise the peace of a still lake even in the midst of a storm. You promise the peace of a slumbering child even in the middle of tension and disagreement. You promise the peace of a poppy field even in the place of heartbreak and devastation. Your promise is a peace that surpasses our human understanding. So I choose to rest by the still waters, to lie down and rest amongst the poppies. Your resurrection declared peace over trauma, power over death, and life everlasting. In feelings of hurt, where the heart is bruised and torn. In feelings of abandonment, alone in a dreadful storm. In feelings of shatteredness, where the tears are full of grief. In feelings so beaten, where hope seems lost in life. We come before you, our heart resides in you.
We come before you, could you take these broken pieces and make us new.
We come to you Lord, and walk with you today.
We come to you Lord, would you hold me close and safe.
We come to you Lord, please open up our eyes.
We come to you Lord, lead our hope to arise.
We come to you Lord, who hears our every prayer.
We come to you Lord, you can heal the pain that's there.
O Lord, this feels so hurt, but we will journey close to you.
O Lord, please come and mend our hearts and hold us close to you.
You hold us safe Lord, We trust in you and wait upon your holy name.
