Only three birthdays are celebrated on the Church’s liturgical calendar, the Nativity of Our Lord (December 25), the Nativity of His Mother (8th of September), and the Nativity of His forerunner, John the Baptist, on June 24. St. John the Baptist was set apart from the womb to prepare the way of the Lord and was a significant figure connected to the Incarnation and the Redemption. The Church honors him because of his role in preparing the way for the Lord

INVOCATION
Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
All for You, O Heart of Jesus all for You!
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I give You my heart and my soul!
O Heart of Jesus burning with love for us, inflame our hearts with love for You!
O Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You for I fear everything from my own weakness, but I hope for all things from Your bounty and Your goodness!

O Heart of Jesus, let your pure love imprint You so profoundly upon my heart that I should never be able to forget You or be separated from You!
May the Heart of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament be loved, blessed and adored with grateful affection at every moment in all the tabernacles of the world, even unto the end of time. Amen!

𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮 𝘽𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 (Corpus Christi)

Also known as the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, this feast honors Jesus Christ, Really, Truly, and Substantially Present under the appearances of bread and wine. This Presence happens through the change which the Church calls transubstantiation (“change of substance”) when at the Consecration of the Mass, the priest says the words which Christ Himself pronounced over bread and wine, “This is My Body,” “This is the chalice of My Blood,” “Do this in remembrance of Me.”

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven.” — John 6:51

Join us as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)

June 6, the celebration will begin with the Holy Mass at 7:30 PM at Serrano Elementary School, followed by the Overnight Vigil at 8:00 PM as a spiritual preparation for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

On June 7, the faithful are invited to join the Procession of the Blessed Sacrament at 7:30 AM, which will begin at Serrano Elementary School and proceed to the National Shrine. The celebration will culminate with the Solemn Holy Mass at 8:00 AM.

Let us gather in prayer, adoration, and thanksgiving as we honor the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

PRAYER TO THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

Most Holy Trinity,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I adore Thee profoundly.
I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul
and Divinity of Jesus Christ,
present in all the tabernacles of the world,
in reparation for the outrages,
sacrileges and indifferences whereby He is offended.
And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart
and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.
