and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
14 then you will find your joy in the Lord,
and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.”

It is with great sadness to know the passing of our Sister Lilibeth Gevera Devaras.

We offer our condolences to the families of Irish Omagac and Lilibeth Givera Devaras, whose lives were claimed in a tragic accident earlier today along the national highway in Brgy. Guibuangan.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident is already under the custody of the Barili Police Station. He, along with the rest of the survivors, are being treated at the Barili Infirmary Hospital for the injuries they all sustained.

Upon further investigation, it was verified that the passengers were bound for Bacolod, traveling from Cebu City to Toledo City Port. They were not able to board a ship there so they decided to proceed to Dumanjug, hoping to catch a trip at Tangil Wharf.

Barili, let us pray for the souls of Irish and Lilibeth, for the speedy recovery of the others involved, and for everyone's healing from this unfortunate turn of events on the day of our fiesta celebration.

Daghan kaayong salamat. Ampo ug amping ta kanunay, everyone. 🙏🏼
