MINISTERIAL SEMINAR SABBATH OUTING
October 3, 2026

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” — Exodus 20:8 (NKJV)

This Sabbath, the Ministerial Seminar family took some time to be together, enjoy each other’s company, and simply have fun. The day was filled with laughter, good conversations, shared meals, and plenty of happy moments.

With all the busy days of studying, serving, and preparing for ministry, it was nice to have a day where we could slow down, relax, and enjoy being together. These simple moments of fellowship remind us that ministry is not only about the work we do, but also about the people we share it with.

Pastor Jose Manuel Espero, Dean of the School of Theology, reminded us:
“Our ordinary talent becomes extraordinary when Jesus is in it.”

We don’t need grand abilities to do great things for God. When Jesus takes His place in our lives, He transforms what is simple and ordinary into something powerful and purposeful. He is the One who gives our talents true meaning and impact.

The Mountain View College Ministerial Seminar gathered for a meaningful General Assembly as they prepared themselves for tomorrow’s Sabbath services.

The gathering was a time of encouragement, reflection, and spiritual preparation as they listened to an inspirational and uplifting message delivered by Pastor Jose Manuel Espero. Through his message, the young ministers were reminded to keep their hearts ready and their lives committed as they serve God and His people.

Romans 13:8 reminds us that while other debts can be paid and settled, our debt to love others never really ends.

Love is the reason why the law exists. Every command points us back to loving God and loving one another.

May 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 be the one thing we never stop giving, and the one debt we’re always happy to 𝗼𝘄𝗲.

"When one accepts Christ's death and resurrection and puts God back at the center of his or her heart, the result will be righteous living, righteous actions. Such actions naturally flow out of an individual's new relationship to Jesus."

"People cannot have Jesus in their hearts, they cannot live the new and transformed life, without righteous living being demonstrated. Salvation is a unit. Being saved is choosing to put God and His will back into the center of our lives. It means leaving off our prideful rebellion, even pride in our goodness."

Not everything that happens is good.

But God can take even the painful, confusing, and unexpected parts of our life and use them for good.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
— Romans 8:28 (NIV)

This verse reminds us that even when we don’t see the good yet, God is still working.

So if you’re carrying something heavy today, give it to Him.

Even this. He can use it for good.
