βThe Ecojustice Farms Guidebook is a humble offering from the ecojustice farms initiative which aims to preserve and promote sustainable farming methods rooted in ecological and social justice,β says the Foreword, penned by Rev. Wilfredo Ruazol, IFI National Program Coordinator. βAt its heart, the guidebook calls on all of us, as people of faith, to embrace our sacred duty to care for the earth, champion justice, and labor toward a world built on justice and peace.β
In the Introduction, NYEC President Vaughn Alviar writes: βIn a few words, we want hearts to change. None of our efforts matter if, in the end, those involved in the project remain ignorant or indifferent to our agricultural and environmental issues. The project will not have worked if it did not contribute to ecological justice.β
