“In a world that competes, choose to serve.”
We live in a culture that constantly pushes us to prove ourselves, to be better, faster, more successful than everyone else. It teaches us to seek recognition, to chase status, and to measure our worth by how we compare to others.
But in the middle of this pressure to compete, Jesus invites us into a completely different way of living.
Mark 10:42-45
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant… For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.”
Here, greatness is redefined. It’s no longer about being on top, but about lifting others up. It’s not about how many people serve you, but how many lives you touch with love, humility, and compassion.
Choosing to serve is not weakness—it’s courage. It’s choosing patience when it’s easier to react, kindness when it’s undeserved, and humility when pride feels more natural. It’s showing up for others even when no one is watching.
In a world that competes for attention and applause, choose a life that quietly makes a difference. Because in the end, true greatness is not measured by what you gain—but by what you give.
