Title: The Person of GOD (Ang Pagkatao ng DIYOS)
Scripture: John 1:18
No one has ever seen God; God the only Son, who[a] is at the Father's side,[b] he has made him known.
JESUS is the revelation of GOD.
I: GOD'S PERSONALITY
Personality is characterized by possesing knowledge, feeling, and will power.
Ang personalidad ay nailalarawan sa pagkakaroon ng kaalaman, damdamin, at kalooban. Amen.
Our GOD is an individual who is living and has definite characteristics.
(Ang ating DIYOS ay isang tunay na Persona na buhay at may tiyak na mga katangian.)
> GOD is a Person.
But, when we say that God is a โperson,โ we do not mean that He is a human being. We mean that God possesses โpersonalityโ and that He is a rational Being with self-awareness.
"Pero, kapag sinasabi nating ang Diyos ay isang 'Persona,' hindi ibig sabihin na Siya ay isang tao. Ang ibig sabihin natin ay ang Diyos ay nagtataglay ng 'pagkatao' at Siya ay isang matalinong Nilalang na may kamalayang pansarili."
Acts 14:15
โFriends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them.
1 Thessalonians 1:9
for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,
He is the living GOD! Amen! Palakpakan tayo man ni APO kakabsat. Madaydayaw ti DIYOS!
Psalm 94:11
The Lord knows the thoughts of man that they are vanity.
GOD has knowledge.
II: GOD'S NATURE
> GOD is a Spirit. A Spirit has neither flesh, bones nor blood.
Ang DIYOS na Espiritu ay hindi katulad natin na may pisikal na katawan. Hindi natin ito nahahawakan o nakikita literal. Amen.
What the Bible says in the book of Luke 24:39
See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.โ
GOG is a Spirit. We worship Him in Spirit and in truth.
John 4:24
God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.โ
1 Timothy 1:17
To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever.[a] Amen.
1 Timothy 6:16
who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
That is our God's nature.
III: GOD'S UNITY
The LORD our GOD is one GOD.
In the book of Deuteronomy 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Isaiah 44:6
Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: โI am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.
Isaiah 45:21
Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together!
Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the Lord? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides me.
IV: GOD'S NATURAL ATTRIBUTES
Attribute is a quality, property or unique characteristic of something.
GOD's natural attributes...
He is eternal. Walang hanggan. Hindi nag-uumpisa hindi natatapos.
Psalm 90:12
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
1 Timothy 1:17, Psalm 102:24, 27, Isaiah 57:15
GOD has always existed. Amen.
2. He is unchangeable. GOD is not constituted that He cannot change.
Malachi 3:6
โFor I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.
1 Samuel 15:29
And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or have regret, for he is not a man, that he should have regret.โ
He possesses all power. (OMNIPOTENT)
Makapangyarihan sa lahat. Amen.
> Creative Power. Genenis 1:1 He created the Heavens and the earth.
> Power by speaking. Genesis 1:3 And GOD said, Let there be light: and there was light.
> GOD creates out of nonexistent materials, objects that are giid and perfeft.
Genesis 1:4 "It was good"
Psalm 33:9 For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.
Man makes things out of existing materials. (Gumagawa ang tao ng mga bagay na nandyan na.)
Jeremiah 32:27 โBehold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?
He is present everywhere at one and the same time (OMNIPRESENT)
1 Kings 8:27 โBut will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built!
Jeremiah 23:23
โAm I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away?
Ephesians 1:23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
Psalm 139:7-9
He has all knowledge. (OMNISCIENT)
Nothing is hidden from the LORD.
1 Chronicles 28:9 โAnd you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
Daniel 2:20 Daniel answered and said: โBlessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might.
Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
V: GOD'S MORAL ATTRIBUTES
GOD is Holy. (Exodus 15:11; 1 Samuel 2:2; Isaiah 6:3; 1 Peter 1:16)
GOD is Righteous. (Psalm 116:5; Ezra 9:15; Psalm 145:17; Jeremiah 12:1)
GOD is merciful. (Psalm 103:8; Deuteronomy 4:31; Psalm 86:15; Romans 9:18)
GOD is Love. (1John 4:8-16; John 3:16; 1 John 3:16; John 16:27)
GOD is faithful. (1 Corinthians 1:9; 2 Timothy 2:13; Deuteronomy 7:8; 32:4
