FOLKDANCE COMPETITION
to be presented during the Reyna Elena 2026
Coronation Rites on May 31, 2026.

Open to 7 Barangays under Maria, Stella Maris Chaplaincy namely: Imelda, Sinandigan, Union, Tipolo, San Isidro, Sentinela, Tapal.

MECHANICS

1. Dancers must be members of the GKK in their barangay.
2. Participants must be 30 years old and above.
3. Each group must have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 members only.
4. Performance duration must be 3–4 minutes.
5. Participants must coordinate first with their chapel moderators.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

Performance & Choreography – 35%
(creativity, synchronization, ex*****on)

Costume & Presentation – 25%
(authenticity, neatness, cultural relevance)

Musicality & Timing – 20%
(rhythm, coordination with music)

Stage Presence & Impact – 15%
(confidence, energy, audience engagement)

Overall Impression – 5%
(general appeal and uniqueness)
