✨ A memory to remember, a journey to cherish. ✨

Today, Vincent Ernes Awas from Holy Child Parish of Ubay begins a new chapter in his life as he enters the Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary as a Grade 11 seminarian.

As he takes this courageous step in responding to God's call, let us keep him in our prayers. May he continue to grow in faith, wisdom, holiness, and love for Christ and His Church as he journeys through seminary life.

We are grateful for your "YES" to the Lord's invitation.

Welcome to the USMAD Family, Sem. Vincent! 🙏❤️

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. — Jeremiah 29:11

Gospel Sunday Reflection:

‎In the Gospel, John told the Jews from Jerusalem, I am the voice one crying out in the desert. Make straight the way of the Lord. If you want to be happy straighten your ways no more twists no more turns. That was I heard from my parents when they advised me to concentrate on my studies and finish college. In reality, a lots of brokenness and pain result from choosing many twists and turns instead of focusing on ones goal.
‎
‎This gospel reminds us in our daily life not to be misguided, but to stay on the right path of God. The path that leads us to follow Christ is not easy, but it is given for our good so that we may find true happiness with Christ .
‎
‎It is the same thing, in finding Jesus we make our way straight to Jesus with sincerity, and He comes to us with His grace and peace. When John says Make straight the way of the Lord. He invited us to remove anything that keeps us from welcoming Christ fully. To make our way straight to the Lord. Focus our minds and hearts on Jesus especially the coming Christmas season the birth of Jesus.
‎
‎If I failed and makes a wrong turns, and made wrong decisions in life I have to go back where my straight line is and mend my twisted ways. As a Seminarian I must be the model of the people to guide them the path of Jesus, especially for those w***e in the wrong path we must be give our full and all trust and faith with compassion and patience without doubting.
‎
‎But I am surely of my right path I don't know or not aware that is wrong. As a seminarian I have lots of time to meditate and think of all the steps that I have done inside the seminary. Have I don't good have I don't enough or maybe the opposite.
‎
‎I need to watch my every step be mindful of my actions Because I am how carrying the Identity of a seminarian and I must be keep this image of mine as clean as possible Amen.

“Igniting each vocation through gathering.”

They say in every stages of life there is always a stage where we feel alone and weary. Sometimes because of the sadness from within we ought to forget the people around us who’s willing to help carry our burdens and sorrows. Just like Ed cunningham once told us “Friends are those rare people who ask how we are and then wait to hear the answer.”
