Good Day! This might help you understand what is the true purpose of a church, why it exist. This will also tell us what attitude we need to have in order to experience a loving and peaceful church

"The church was simply intended to be a community of believers - those who know themselves loved and can live together without shame. Traditionally, the church has not been like this or, at least, not shown this face to the world. As a result, the one criticism that is levelled at the Church over and over is an accusation of hypocrisy. 'You hypocrites. You tell us to be good but look at you.'

If the church truly understood that it is not about evaluating and comparing and living up to standards, but rather, being known for who we are in our relationships, being 'conspicuously imperfect' but living in God's grace, then the world would be drawn to that reality and true humility. This is the paradise that we glimpse in the Garden of Eden, where Adam could be transparently seen for what they were and not be ashamed. That is what God calls us to - a place, a quality of our relationship with him and with each other in which we can be real and accepted anyway. That is the gospel in a nutshell. Its not about being good; its about being real."
