KNSR NEWS | The Kapilya Pastoral Council (KPC) of San Ramon Nonato Chapel-Sibsib convened to discuss the activities for the upcoming patronal feast.

As the feast of San Ramon Nonato is fast approaching, John Mark Basalio, the former President of District 4 Youth Ministry, presided over the KPC meeting on August 6, 2023. The meeting revolved around the timetables of the event’s activities as well as all the committees. One of the highlights that had been discussed was the Candlelight Procession, which was to be conducted on the day before the patronal fiesta. Apart from this, the board had agreed that the 9-Day Novena to San Ramon Nonato would commence at 5:30 a.m. on August 17, 2023. Meanwhile, as per the schedule at the office of the San Isidro Labrado Parish, the culminating day of the feast will be August 26, 2023. "Updates for the upcoming patronal feast will be posted soon in the Kabataan Ni San Ramon account," Basalio said.

FEATURE: Brigada to learn: The faces behind the dynamic volunteerism movement

"I Volunteer!" A call that ignites the spirit and uplifts the essence of volunteerism at the core of service.

In preparation for the most desired opening of classes in school year 2022-2023, seven youth from San Ramon Nonato Chapel, Sibsib, volunteered to take part in Brigada Eskwela at Tulunan National High School last August 18, 2022. This was to help the teachers in setting up the classrooms as learning environments.

In a phone conversation, Juliene Garcenila, an alumna of the aforementioned institution, stated that "need gid magbuliganay para [dw] desenti man ang school/room kung magklase na.. limyo nami ang ambiance." She also added that she voluntarily participated in the activity because she sincerely missed her beloved Alma Matter.

LOOK: District 4 Youth Ministry of San Isidro Labrador Parish, Tulunan attends the Parish Summer Youth Camp 2022.

With the featured theme "SILP PYM; Journeying together as witnesses of Christ," 116 youth from the different GKKs of District 4 joined in the most awaited and biggest gathering. The event took place on August 5 and 6, 2022, at Sibsib National High School. The District 4 Youth Ministry also displayed their incredible talent in the various competitions. They claimed 4th place in Modern Dance, Chorale, and Cheerdance, and 3rd place in Interpretative and Comical Skit. The D4YM also won the championship titles in both basketball and volleyball. Meanwhile, Rodjan Mark Jordan, who acted as St. Lorenzo Ruiz, ranked as 4th runner up, and Athea Nicole Palera, who portrayed St. Therese of the Child Jesus, reigned as Ms. Saint's Look a Like. The District 4 Youth Ministry bagged the 4th place in the overall ranking during the Parish Youth Camp 2022.
