TEH ASCENSION OF THE LORD
SEVENTH SUNDAY OF EASTER (Matthew 28: 16 - 20)

Today’s Gospel reminds us that even in moments of goodbye, God’s love never leaves us.

The Ascension of Jesus is not an ending, but a beautiful beginning—calling us to trust, move forward in faith, and continue sharing His love with others. 🙏✨

The Louisian Community is warmly invited to visit the exhibit at the Good Shepherd Chapel, happening today until tomorrow, in support of the fundraising initiative for the building of the Pro-Cathedral of Marawi.

The exhibit also features the restored original image of 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚, 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔, which was damaged during the Marawi Siege in 2017.

May this caravan remind us that even in the midst of destruction, peace and solidarity continue to rise through communities united in prayer, compassion, and action.

We invite everyone to come, reflect, and extend support for the people and Church of Marawi.

ECHOES OF THE GOSPEL✝️

SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER (Luke 14:53 - 21)

MOTHER'S DAY AT THE GOOD SHEPHERD CHAPEL

Today, May 10, 2026, as the Church celebrates the 6th Sunday of Easter and the country observes Mother’s Day, Fr. JM shared a heartfelt message during the Holy Mass honoring the love and sacrifices of mothers and grandmothers.

In his homily, Fr. JM reminded the faithful that although not everyone is called to become a mother, all of us are blessed to have mothers and grandmothers who continue to shape our lives through their love, care, and guidance.

Reflecting on the Gospel, he highlighted the words of Jesus, “If you love me, keep my commandments,” sharing that love is one of the most used—and sometimes misused—words today. True love, he said, is shown not only through words, but through faithfulness, sacrifice, and living according to God’s commandments.

After the Mass, Fr. JM offered a special blessing for all mothers present. Simple tokens were also given to them courtesy of the Office of the University President as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for everything they do for their families and communities.

Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers and grandmothers!

A mother’s love is the quiet strength behind every success, the comforting voice during our hardest days, and the gentle hand that never lets us face life alone. No words will ever be enough to repay the sacrifices, prayers, and unconditional love that mothers give so selflessly each day.

This Mother’s Day, we honor the women who carry so much love in their hearts — those who choose to give, to nurture, and to stay strong even when no one sees their struggles. Thank you for being the light of every home and the heart of every family.

To all mothers and mother figures, may you always be reminded that your love changes lives in the most beautiful ways. Happy Mother’s Day!
