MOTHER'S DAY AT THE GOOD SHEPHERD CHAPEL
Today, May 10, 2026, as the Church celebrates the 6th Sunday of Easter and the country observes Mother’s Day, Fr. JM shared a heartfelt message during the Holy Mass honoring the love and sacrifices of mothers and grandmothers.
In his homily, Fr. JM reminded the faithful that although not everyone is called to become a mother, all of us are blessed to have mothers and grandmothers who continue to shape our lives through their love, care, and guidance.
Reflecting on the Gospel, he highlighted the words of Jesus, “If you love me, keep my commandments,” sharing that love is one of the most used—and sometimes misused—words today. True love, he said, is shown not only through words, but through faithfulness, sacrifice, and living according to God’s commandments.
After the Mass, Fr. JM offered a special blessing for all mothers present. Simple tokens were also given to them courtesy of the Office of the University President as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for everything they do for their families and communities.
Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers and grandmothers!
