Reposting something that i fully agreed!
In view of this coming election, I cannot really grasp why there are some bible-believing Christians and Church leaders who would prefer to support candidates whose advocacies are the very things they had battled in prayer and preached against with on the pulpit because it blatantly opposed the authority and sacredness of the Scripture, things such as DIVORCE, SAME-SEX MARRIAGE, CIVIL UNION, SOGIE. We profess that we are Christians, and yet we ignore the standards of God in choosing a leader. I tell you that no matter how academically brilliant and politically savvy a candidate is if he/she contradicts God's precepts/statutes, then a nation cannot thrive under her/his watch unless an ecclesiastical institution (church) stands on the gap (intercede). I respect everyone's constitutionally guaranteed right to vote but once you become a Christian- a follower of Christ and were once enlightened of truth of the Scripture, you cannot afford to turn a blind eye because God's word is always supreme than one's preference and conviction. Let's learn from the very words of one of the greatest presidents of USA George Washington that "It is impossible to govern a nation without God and the Bible." This mantra has been proven effective in transforming a nation when constantly live by. But the sad thing is, only very few believe in the bible and worse is they dont use the bible as guide in making decisions like in choosing a candidate but they would wish for a better Philippines.🤔🤔🤔
