From the silence of the tomb bursts forth the greatest victory ever known—
life has conquered death, hope has overcome despair, and love has triumphed over all.
Today, we proclaim with unshakable faith:
Christ is risen! Indeed, He is alive! Alleluya!
The Resurrection is not just a moment in history—it is a living promise.
A promise that no darkness is too deep, no sorrow too heavy, no sin too great that God cannot redeem.
As the stone was rolled away, may our hearts also be opened—
from fear to courage,
from doubt to faith,
from despair to renewed hope.
Let us rise with Christ.
Let us live as people of the Resurrection—bringing light where there is darkness, love where there is hatred, and hope where there is brokenness.
This Easter, we are reminded: the story does not end at the cross—
it begins again at the empty tomb.
Alleluya! Alleluya! Alleluya!

Today, we stand at the foot of the Cross.
In silence, we behold a love that chose to suffer… a mercy that chose to stay… a Savior who chose to die—for us.
There are no grand words today, only the echo of His final cry:
“It is finished.”
Finished—yet not ended.
For in His wounds, we find healing.
In His death, we receive life.
In His Cross, we discover the depth of God’s love.
As a Diocese, let us not just remember the Cross—
let us carry it, embrace it, and live it.
For today, love is crucified…
and yet, love remains.

Holy Thursday - Entering the Paschal Triduum

Today, we step into the sacred mystery of the Paschal Triduum—the heart of our faith. From the table of the Last Supper to the Cross and the Empty Tomb, we journey with Christ in love, sacrifice, and victory.
On this Holy Thursday, we remember His command: “Love one another as I have loved you.” In the breaking of the bread and the washing of feet, Jesus shows us that true greatness is found in humble service.
Let us not be mere spectators of this holy season. Let us come, gather, and celebrate the blessed services as one Church—present, prayerful, and united.
This is not just a remembrance. This is our participation in His saving love.
Come. Join. Be part of the mystery. ✝️

On this Holy Wednesday, within the sacred silence of Holy Week, the Diocese of Tubod gathers as one Church in a profound moment of grace—the Renewal of Ordination Vows of its clergy, led by Bishop Noel Lorente .
In this solemn celebration, the blessing of the sacramental oils and the anointing of every clergy become a powerful sign of renewal—reviving the call of God, rekindling the sacred “Yes,” and strengthening their commitment to the mission and ministry entrusted to the Church.
May this holy encounter deepen their fidelity, renew their hearts, and empower them to continue shepherding God’s people with love, humility, and unwavering faith.
To God be all the glory. 🙏

Palm & Passion Sunday | Opening of the Holy Week 2026

Today, we enter the sacred door of Holy Week through Palm and Passion Sunday—a powerful moment where joy and sorrow meet, where we cry “Hosanna!” and yet walk with Christ toward His Passion and the Cross.

As the Iglesia Filipina Independiente – Diocese of Tubod, we are called not only to remember these events, but to live them. This Holy Week is not merely a break from work or a season for leisure, vacations, or outings. It is a holy time set apart for God—a time to return, to reflect, to repent, and to renew our covenant with the Lord.

In a world that often invites us to escape to beaches and personal vacation, Christ invites us to stay, watch, and pray with Him. Instead of seeking noise, let us embrace silence. Instead of pleasure, let us choose prayer. Instead of distraction, let us enter into devotion.

Let us spend these sacred days:
In prayer and worship in our churches
In meditation on the Passion of Christ
In repentance and reconciliation
In acts of love and sacrifice

This is the true spirit of Holy Week—not escape, but encounter; not leisure, but liturgy; not self-indulgence, but self-offering.

May our waving of palms today not be empty gestures, but a sincere offering of our lives to Christ, our King—who reigns not on a throne of gold, but on the Cross of love.

Let us walk this Holy Week with Jesus—faithfully, prayerfully, and wholeheartedly.

“Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” 🙏

Simultaneous Sectoral Lenten Retreat | Diocese of Tubod
March 28, 2026

Today, the Diocese of Tubod faithfully gathers as one Church in a Simultaneous Sectoral Lenten Retreat, held across different mission centers of our diocese—a beautiful expression of unity in diversity, and devotion in this sacred season of Lent.
Our sectoral gatherings are as follows:
• LIFI at Kolambugan Church – 23 participants
• WOPIC and CSO at Baroy Church – 44 participants
• YIFI and CCO at Liangan West Church – 50 participants
These retreatants, composed mostly of officers and leaders from our 7 Parishes and 6 Missions, have come together with one purpose: to deepen their faith, renew their calling, and strengthen their commitment to serve God and His Church.
Guided by the dynamic and program-driven leadership of Noel B. Lorente, this simultaneous gathering reflects a Church that is alive, organized, and mission-oriented—journeying together in prayer, reflection, and transformation.
Let us all unite in prayer for the success of this retreat. May it bear abundant spiritual fruits, renew the hearts of our leaders, and inspire a more committed service to God’s people.
To God be all the glory!

As our youth begin their Leadership Seminar and Retreat, let us lovingly lift them up in our prayers. May the Lord guide them in their journey, keep them safe in their travels, and bless their time together with wisdom, unity, and inspiration. May this gathering shape them into faithful and servant leaders of the Church.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We entrust to You our youth as they begin their seminar and retreat.
Grant them safety in their travels and peace in their hearts.
Open their minds to learn and their hearts to serve.
May Your Holy Spirit guide them in every activity,
And may this event be fruitful and successful for Your greater glory.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
