Tubod, Lanao del Norte โ€” Tubod College interns gathered on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Nelita Q. Noval Multi-purpose Building for the seminar-workshop titled โ€œBridging Education to Employment: A Career Readiness Seminar-Workshop.โ€ The initiative, organized by the institution, aimed to equip graduating students with essential skills and knowledge to successfully transition into the workforce.

In her opening remarks, School President Ms. Cherry Marie C. Paclipan emphasized the institutionโ€™s role in shaping its students, stating, โ€œGraduates are not the clients, but the products of the school.โ€ She highlighted that the seminar serves as a vital process in cultivating students into competent and marketable individuals ready to meet the demands of various industries.

The morning session featured two key discussions: Resume Writing and Job Application Essentials, and Job Interview Techniques and Best Practices. These were delivered by Ms. Irish Angela C. Rondique, MPA, HRMO III, who provided practical insights into effective job application strategies. She concluded her session with a realistic yet encouraging reminder: โ€œNot everyone gets hired on the first try.โ€

The program continued in the afternoon with Employability Skills and Labor Market Trends, and Career Planning and Job Readiness, facilitated by Mr. Kent Justine E. Cabaรฑag, Labor and Employment Officer II. His sessions focused on aligning graduatesโ€™ competencies with current labor demands and guiding them toward strategic career planning.

Overall, the one-day seminar-workshop successfully equipped soon-to-be graduates with the necessary tools, mindset, and confidence to become competitive and workplace-ready professionals. The event reinforced Tubod Collegeโ€™s commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically prepared but also responsive to the evolving needs of the job market.

DON CARLOS, BUKIDNON โ€” On April 21, 2026, athletes from Tubod College showcased their skills and versatility as they competed in various events of the ALCU X Games 2026, held at the Don Carlos Polytechnic College campus and Aguinaldo Street Covered Court.

Throughout the day, TC representatives participated in a wide range of competitions, including menโ€™s volleyball, menโ€™s basketball (5x5 and 3x3), and badminton events across menโ€™s, womenโ€™s, and mixed categories. Student-athletes also took part in table tennis matches, while the collegeโ€™s artistic talent was represented in the acrylic painting competition, where only one participant per school was selected.

The day highlighted Tubod Collegeโ€™s active presence in both sports and creative events, reflecting the institutionโ€™s commitment to holistic development and competitive excellence in the ongoing ALCU X Games.

DON CARLOS, BUKIDNON โ€” The much-anticipated ALCU X Games 2026 officially opened on April 20, 2026, with a vibrant and meaningful celebration hosted by Don Carlos Polytechnic College (DCPC) and held across the DCPC Covered Court and the Don Carlos Municipal Plaza Amphitheater.

The dayโ€™s activities began with a thanksgiving mass at the DCPC Covered Court, setting a solemn and reflective tone for the event. Following the mass, delegates from participating institutions paraded towards the Municipal Plaza, filling the streets with energy and school pride.

At the amphitheater, a drum and lyre corps exhibition welcomed the crowd before the formal opening ceremony commenced. Participating schools were introduced and showcased their respective saludo performances in the following order: City College of El Salvador (CCE), Colegio de Kapatagan (CDK), Gingoog City United Colleges (GCUC), Initao College (IC), Magsaysay College (MC), Opol Community College (OCC), Pangantucan Bukidnon Community College (PBCC), Salay Community College (SCC), Tagoloan Community College (TCC), Tangub Community Global College (TCGC), Tubod College (TC), and Don Carlos Polytechnic College (DCPC).

In her welcome message, DCPC College President Dr. Gemma Quimpang warmly greeted the delegates and emphasized the significance of unity and sportsmanship in the games. This was followed by an opening salvo from the DCPC Performing Arts Guild, featuring two contrasting yet powerful performancesโ€”a cultural dance by full-blooded Indigenous Peoples (IP) students of Bukidnon, and a dynamic hip-hop number that energized the audience.

Hon. Maria Victoria Pizzaro delivered an inspirational message. A highlight of the ceremony was the entrance of the friendship flame, which was carried and used to light the ceremonial urn by ALCU X gold medalists Jipce Queen Collantes and Kirby Bacong, symbolizing unity among participating institutions.

The program continued with the oath-taking of athletes and officials, followed by the hosting of delegation banners. The ceremony also acknowledged the presence of CHED X Regional Director Dr. Arlita Amapola Minguez.

The official declaration of the opening of the ALCU X Games 2026 was delivered by Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Engr. Segundo Absuelo, formally marking the start of the competition.

The celebration concluded with a festive fireworks display and a simultaneous unity dance participated in by the delegates, symbolizing solidarity and shared purpose. Closing remarks were delivered by Hon. Chloe Rey Mateo, Chairperson of the Education Committee.

With spirits high and camaraderie on full display, the ALCU X Games 2026 is set to foster not only athletic excellence but also stronger connections among local colleges and universities across the region.

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte โ€” The Tubod College Stallions officially departed from the Tubod College campus on Sunday, April 19, 2026, alongside school personnel, as they set out for Don Carlos Polytechnic College in Bukidnon to compete in the ALCU X Games 2026.

Carrying the pride and spirit of the institution, the delegates are expected to showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship as they face fellow athletes from various colleges and universities. The send-off marks the beginning of their journey toward bringing honor to Tubod College in this yearโ€™s intercollegiate sporting event.

On 17 April 2026 the Tubod College ROTC Unit conducted the first ever Donning/Pinning of Ranks Ceremony for Advance ROTC officers held at Tubod College Covered Court led by Sgt Leonard B Balbas (Inf) PA, Admin NCO and the supervision of Asst Commandant 1LT JERRY C UY JR PA (RES). On 1500H (3pm) the program commenced with an opening ceremony which included the Entrance of Colors, singing of the National Anthem, invocation, and welcome remarks, followed by the presenting of advance ROTC officers, and introduction of the Guest of Honor and Speaker, LTC JOSE L SEDROME PA (RET), whose inspirational message emphasized the values of discipline, leadership, patriotism, and commitment to service. The highlight of the activity was the ceremonial donning/pinning of ranks of the magic fourty-four (44) Advance ROTC Officers, where each officer was individually called and awarded their respective rank insignia by designated officers and guests, symbolizing their readiness to lead. This was followed by the Oath of Office of the newly promoted officers, affirming their dedication to uphold their duties and responsibilities. The activity concluded the giving of token and plaque of appreciation for the Guest of Honor and Speaker and with a closing message delivered by College President Cherry Marie C. Paclipan, DM, DPed, who commended the ROTC unit for their dedication and encouraged the newly promoted officers to lead with integrity, excellence, and a strong sense of service, followed by a photo session, marking the success of the ceremony in fostering leadership, unity, and esprit de corps among the cadets of the Tubod College ROTC Unit. The said Activity ended at 1640H (4:40 pm) of the same day.
