Tubod, Lanao del Norte โ Tubod College interns gathered on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Nelita Q. Noval Multi-purpose Building for the seminar-workshop titled โBridging Education to Employment: A Career Readiness Seminar-Workshop.โ The initiative, organized by the institution, aimed to equip graduating students with essential skills and knowledge to successfully transition into the workforce.
In her opening remarks, School President Ms. Cherry Marie C. Paclipan emphasized the institutionโs role in shaping its students, stating, โGraduates are not the clients, but the products of the school.โ She highlighted that the seminar serves as a vital process in cultivating students into competent and marketable individuals ready to meet the demands of various industries.
The morning session featured two key discussions: Resume Writing and Job Application Essentials, and Job Interview Techniques and Best Practices. These were delivered by Ms. Irish Angela C. Rondique, MPA, HRMO III, who provided practical insights into effective job application strategies. She concluded her session with a realistic yet encouraging reminder: โNot everyone gets hired on the first try.โ
The program continued in the afternoon with Employability Skills and Labor Market Trends, and Career Planning and Job Readiness, facilitated by Mr. Kent Justine E. Cabaรฑag, Labor and Employment Officer II. His sessions focused on aligning graduatesโ competencies with current labor demands and guiding them toward strategic career planning.
Overall, the one-day seminar-workshop successfully equipped soon-to-be graduates with the necessary tools, mindset, and confidence to become competitive and workplace-ready professionals. The event reinforced Tubod Collegeโs commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically prepared but also responsive to the evolving needs of the job market.
