21𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 ✨

Despite the cold and rainy weather, our Gimong gathered in faith and thanksgiving as we celebrated the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time. This Sunday was made even more meaningful as we also celebrated 𝘼𝙡𝙩𝙖𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨’ 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 through the 𝙄𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙩𝙖𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨, who have answered the call to serve at the altar and dedicate themselves to the service of the Lord and His Church. 🙏

In his reflection on the Gospel, Reverend Father Clyde Banasan called on the Gimong to journey together in embracing and carrying out the mission of Jesus. He encouraged us to look beyond simply knowing about Jesus and to ask ourselves, “𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞?”

Peter recognized Jesus not merely as a teacher or prophet, but as the Son of the living God. His response came from his deep faith and personal relationship with Christ.

As we celebrated the Holy Eucharist in honor of St. John Marie Vianney, patron saint of parish priests, 𝙍𝙚𝙫. 𝙁𝙧. 𝘾𝙡𝙮𝙙𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚.

Reflecting on the Sacred Scriptures, we are reminded that Jesus calls His people to follow Him not merely for material blessings, but for the spiritual nourishment that leads to eternal life. His message also emphasized the importance of fulfilling our Sunday obligation by setting aside our daily routines to participate in the Eucharistic Celebration. In doing so, we are given the opportunity to deepen our communion with God, listen to His Word, and be spiritually renewed through His presence in the Holy Eucharist.

After the Eucharistic Celebration, a simple table fellowship was held in celebration of Priest's Day, providing an opportunity for the gimong to express their gratitude and appreciation for the dedicated service of Fr. Clyde. 🩵🙏🛐

Before the prayer service, the members of the Holy Family Gimong came together to clean and restore the surroundings of our chapel, offering not only their time and effort but also their love for God's house. Through this simple act of stewardship, we were reminded that caring for our place of worship is also a way of honoring the Lord and serving our community.

As a heartfelt tribute to the grandparents and elderly present, 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙨, faithful members of our Gimong, generously shared sacks of rice from their rice business. Their thoughtful gift was a beautiful expression of God's providence and a reflection of hearts filled with gratitude and compassion.

These acts of service and generosity remind us that honoring our grandparents extends beyond words. It is lived out through kindness, gratitude, and the willingness to share our blessings with those who have nurtured generations with unwavering faith, wisdom, and unconditional love.

May the intercession of Saints Joachim and Anne continue to strengthen our families, inspire us to be generous stewards of God's blessings, and remind us to cherish the wisdom, sacrifices, and enduring presence of our grandparents and elderly.

In the sharing of our parish priest, Rev. Fr. Clyde Banasan, everyone was reminded that “the Church is the People of God”—not merely a building, but a community of disciples united in Christ’s mission. He encouraged the faithful to live out their priestly, prophetic, and kingly calling by deepening their prayer life, proclaiming the Good News, and serving others with humility and love. He also emphasized that while the Church is holy because Christ is its Head, it is also human because we, its members, continue to learn, grow, and journey together. Through the synodal journey, we are called to strengthen communion, foster genuine Christian fellowship, and become a Church that walks together in faith and mission.

The assembly concluded with workshops that assessed the current realities, strengths, and areas for growth of each Gimong, followed by reports and a meaningful time of communal reflection and sharing. As leaders and members of the community, we were reminded to look back on our past actions—not only to recognize our achievements and acknowledge our shortcomings, but also to draw lessons that will help us grow in leadership, strengthen our commitment to service, and continue guiding our communities with wisdom, humility, and faith.

May the insights gained from this assembly continue to inspire us to celebrate our blessings, deepen our communion with one another, and faithfully carry out Christ’s mission in our families, our Gimong, and our parish.
