Saint John of the Cross Parish - Cahayag Parish Priest - Rev. Fr. Areston V. Limocon St. John of the Cross was born on June 24, 1542 in Fontiveros, Spain. He died on December 14, 1591. Feast Day: December 14

He was one of the greatest Christian mystics, doctor of the church, reformer of Spanish monasticism, and cofounder of the contemplative order of Discalced Carmelites. He is a patron saint of mystics and contemplatives and of Spanish poets. He was canonized on December 27, 1726 in Rome, Papal States by Pope Benedict XIII.

Flores de Mayo Culmination 2026

As we joyfully celebrate the culmination of Flores de Mayo, we proudly present the lovely queens who will grace this year’s Santa Cruzan—young women representing faith, virtue, and devotion in honor of our Blessed Mother.

Schedule of Activities
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Arrival
2:00 PM | Holy Rosary
2:30 PM | Flores de Mayo Novena
3:00 PM | Santa Cruzan Coronation of Reyna Elena
3:30 PM | Eucharistic Celebration
5:00 PM | Procession

We encourage everyone to bring flowers to offer to Mama Mary as a symbol of love and devotion, and candles for the Santa Cruzan procession as we journey together in faith and prayer.

Let us come together as one parish family to honor our Blessed Mother and witness this beautiful culmination of faith and tradition. Your presence and participation will make this celebration even more meaningful.
