With hearts full of joy and gratitude, we welcomed the Pastoral Visit 2025 of Most Rev. Cosme Damian R. Almedilla, D.D., Bishop of Butuan. It was truly a spirit-filled and meaningful encounter as our beloved shepherd graced us with his presence, wisdom, and pastoral care.

Throughout the visit, Bishop Ming reminded us of the importance of unity, compassion, and deepening our relationship with Christ. His inspiring words, gentle guidance, and fatherly love rekindled the flame of faith in our community, encouraging us to walk together as one Church, journeying in synodality.

Daghang salamat, Bishop. May your visit bear abundant spiritual fruits in our lives. 🙏❤️

Lola Ana's conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary! 💙✨

𝘼𝘽𝙊𝙐𝙏 𝙄𝙈𝙈𝘼𝘾𝙐𝙇𝘼𝙏𝙀 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉

As Catholics, may we always take note that the Immaculate Conception (Celebration date: December 8) deals with the conception of our Blessed Mother in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. Moreover, it is not the birthday of our Heavenly Mother. Adding nine months (duration of normal conception of a baby) from December 8 leads to September 8, the celebration of the nativity of Our Lady.

Do not also confuse Immaculate Conception with the conception of Jesus Christ. This is being celebrated with the Solemnity of the Annunciation on March 25, which is exactly nine months before Christmas day, the nativity of our Lord.

Prayer

O most Holy Virgin, immaculate in body
and spirit, look kindly on me as I implore
your powerful intercession.

O most Holy Mother, receive my prayers
as I present them to God.

O Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother,
you intercede for us with your Son.
O Mary conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.
