Kalapati — kapayapaan at kabanalan
Kulay p**a — apoy ng pananampalataya at pagmamahal

ANO ANG MENSAHE NG PENTECOST SA ATIN?

Inaanyayahan tayo ng Pentecost na:
maging matapang sa pananampalataya,
mamuhay ayon sa Espiritu Santo,
at ibahagi si Kristo sa iba.
MAIKLING PANALANGIN
“Halina, Espiritu Santo, punuin Mo ang puso ng Iyong mga mananampalataya at pagningasin Mo sa amin ang apoy ng Iyong pag-ibig. Amen.”

LOOK | FEAST OF SAINT ISIDORE

With hearts full of gratitude and faith, we joyfully celebrated the Feast of our beloved patron, Saint Isidore the Laborer, last May 15. A humble farmer and faithful servant of God, Saint Isidore reminds us that holiness is found not only in prayer, but also in hard work, simplicity, and service to others.

The Eucharistic Celebration was solemnly presided over by Most Rev. Precioso Cantillas, whose presence became a blessing to our parish community as we gathered in unity, thanksgiving, and devotion.

May Saint Isidore continue to guide every farmer, worker, and faithful servant of God, teaching us to cultivate not only the land, but also hearts rooted in faith, humility, and love.

“Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.”

The feasts of the Assumption and the Ascension are closely connected in meaning, yet they are profoundly different in who is honored, how the event takes place, and what each mystery reveals about God’s plan of salvation.

• ASSUMPTION — The Blessed Virgin Mary

The Assumption refers to the moment when the Blessed Virgin Mary was taken up into heaven, body and soul, at the end of her earthly life. The Church celebrates this solemnity every year on August 15. Unlike death as we normally understand it, Mary’s Assumption is believed as a unique participation in her Son’s victory over sin and death. She was preserved from original sin from the moment of her conception, and at the end of her life, God brought her fully into heavenly glory.

This truth is not directly narrated in Scripture, but it is deeply rooted in Sacred Tradition and is defined as a dogma of the Catholic Church. It reflects the belief that Mary, who carried Christ in her womb and remained perfectly faithful to God, shares already in the fullness of redemption promised to all the faithful.

The Assumption reminds us of our future hope: that our bodies are not meant for destruction, but for resurrection and eternal life with God.

• ASCENSION — Our Lord Jesus Christ

The Ascension refers to Jesus Christ returning to heaven by His own divine power, forty days after His Resurrection. It is celebrated on the 40th day of Easter (or transferred to Sunday in many places). Unlike Mary, Jesus does not “receive” glory—He returns to the glory He has always possessed as the eternal Son of God.

The Ascension is clearly recorded in Sacred Scripture:

Acts 1:9–11 – Jesus is lifted up before the eyes of the apostles

Mark 16:19–20 – The Lord is taken up into heaven and sits at the right hand of God

Luke 24:50–53 – Jesus blesses His disciples and is carried into heaven

The Ascension is not a departure of absence, but the completion of Christ’s mission on earth and His exaltation as King and Lord of all creation. From heaven, He continues to intercede for His Church and sends the Holy Spirit.

Mary’s Assumption points us to the fruit of Christ’s salvation in a human person, while Jesus’ Ascension reveals the source of that salvation itself.

Together, they proclaim one message: heaven is real, Christ reigns, and those who remain faithful to God are destined for glory.

TOMORROW IS ASCENSION SUNDAY

Tomorrow, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, the glorious moment when Jesus Christ, after His Resurrection, was taken up into heaven and seated at the right hand of the Father.

The Ascension reminds us that Jesus does not abandon His people. He reigns in glory, yet remains with us through the Holy Spirit, the sacraments, and His Church. His return to the Father opens the way for us to eternal life and points our hearts toward our true home in heaven.

As we prepare for this sacred day, let us lift our hearts above fear, sorrow, and worldly worries. Like the apostles, may we live with joy, faith, and hope, trusting that Christ reigns victorious over sin, death, and darkness.

Lord Jesus, as You ascended into heaven, lift our hearts to You and strengthen our faith.

May 15, 2026 - With hearts full of gratitude, we witness the blessing of our parish prayer room led by Bishop Precioso Cantillas. A sacred space now opened for silence, prayer, reflection, and deeper communion with God.

May this humble room become a refuge for weary souls, a place where prayers are lifted, tears are comforted, and faith is strengthened. As the Bishop blessed these walls, may every person who enters here encounter the peace, love, and presence of the Lord.

IN PHOTOS | PROCESSION OF SAN ISIDRO

May 14, 2026 - Under the evening sky, the procession of San Isidro Labrador during the vísperas became a beautiful expression of faith, gratitude, and devotion.

As the image of our beloved patron passed through the streets, hearts were united in prayer and thanksgiving for the countless blessings received throughout the years. The solemn procession reminded us that, like San Isidro, we are called to live with humility, hard work, and unwavering trust in God’s providence.

Every candle lit, every hymn sung, and every step taken reflected the deep devotion of the community—faith passed on through generations, keeping alive the spirit of hope and thanksgiving. In the midst of life’s challenges, this celebration reminds us that God continues to guide and provide for His people through every season. 🕊️

May the example of San Isidro Labrador inspire us to remain faithful in our daily lives, to work with love and integrity, and to always place God at the center of everything we do.
Viva San Isidro Labrador! 🌾

IN PHOTOS | 9th NOVENA MASS

May 14, 2026 - As we gathered for the 9th Novena Mass, we were reminded that the greatest calling we have is to love — sincerely, selflessly, and faithfully. In a world filled with noise and distractions, tonight became a quiet reminder that true joy is found when we remain in God’s love and share that love with others. 🙏
Every prayer whispered, every song lifted, and every heart present reflected God’s grace moving among His people. We may come with different stories, struggles, and intentions, but tonight we stood as one community, chosen and called by Him. 🤍
May this celebration strengthen our faith, deepen our love for one another, and remind us that God’s presence never leaves those who seek Him wholeheartedly. As we continue this journey of devotion, may we carry His words in our hearts and become instruments of His peace, kindness, and compassion wherever we go. ✨
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of faith, fellowship, and the countless blessings You continue to pour upon us.
