✨ HAPPY 1,993RD BIRTHDAY TO THE ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC, AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH! ✨

Today, we joyfully celebrate the birth of the Holy Catholic Church — the Church founded by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ upon Saint Peter and the Apostles. For more than two thousand years, the Catholic Church has continued her mission of proclaiming the Gospel, administering the Sacraments, defending the truth, and leading souls closer to God. 🤍✝️

From the early Christians who gave their lives for the faith, to the saints who became shining examples of holiness, the Church has remained standing through persecution, wars, trials, and the changing tides of the world. Empires rose and fell, but the Church of Christ remains — alive, faithful, and guided by the Holy Spirit. 🕊️

The Catholic Church is more than an institution; she is our spiritual home, our mother in faith, and the Body of Christ. Through her, we received Baptism, learned the teachings of Christ, encountered the Eucharist, and discovered the mercy and love of God. 🙏

In a world filled with confusion and division, the Church continues to proclaim eternal truth, calling every person to holiness, repentance, unity, and love. Despite attacks, criticisms, and challenges, the promise of Jesus remains forever true:

“You are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” — Matthew 16:18

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, continue to guide and protect all the faithful. May the Holy Spirit strengthen the Church in every nation. And may we always remain united in one faith, one baptism, and one Lord. 🕊️🇻🇦

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬: 𝐀 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲

The Parish Youth Assembly 2026 has officially come to an end, leaving behind meaningful experiences, strengthened faith, and a renewed sense of purpose among the youth participants. Anchored on the theme, “Take Courage, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33), the gathering served as a powerful reminder for young people to remain steadfast in faith despite life’s challenges.

The assembly brought together youth from different chapels, creating a vibrant space for unity, learning, and spiritual growth. Throughout the event, participants engaged in various activities that deepened their understanding of God’s word and strengthened their connection with one another. From inspiring talks to moments of reflection and group sharing, each part of the program contributed to a meaningful and enriching experience.

One of the most notable aspects of the assembly was the strong sense of community built among the participants. Despite their different backgrounds, the youth were united by a common purpose—to grow in faith and become active members of the Church. The atmosphere was filled with joy, openness, and encouragement, allowing everyone to feel welcomed and valued.

Indeed, while the Parish Youth Assembly 2026 has ended, its message will continue to live on in the hearts of the youth. With courage rooted in faith, they move forward—ready to face the world, knowing that they are never alone.

With hearts full of hope and faith, we warmly invite all young people to take part in this year’s Parish Youth Assembly 2026 on April 25, 2026. This gathering is a beautiful opportunity for the youth to come together as one community—strengthened by faith, inspired by God’s Word, and encouraged to courageously live out our mission as young disciples.

In a world full of challenges and uncertainties, we are reminded through this year’s theme that we are never alone. Christ has already overcome the world, and through Him, we too can face life with courage, strength, and purpose. This assembly aims to ignite that courage within each of us—calling every young person to step forward, grow spiritually, and actively serve in the youth ministry and in our parish communities.

All chapels are required to send five (5) youths, aged 15 years old and above, who are willing and committed to serve in the youth ministry and in the parish.

With hearts full of faith and excitement, the two youth representatives of Saint James the Apostle Parish (SJAP), Niño Tacle and Anjoe Payot, are all set for the much-awaited Regional Youth Day 2026

𝘾𝘼𝙇𝘽𝘼𝙔𝙊𝙂 𝘾𝙄𝙏𝙔 — With hearts full of faith and excitement, the two youth representatives from Saint James the Apostle Parish (SJAP), together with fellow young delegates from the Sogod Vicariate, are now ready to begin Day 1 of the Regional Youth Day (RYD) here in Calbayog City.

After days of preparation and travel, the group has safely arrived and is eager to take part in this meaningful gathering of young people from different dioceses. Regional Youth Day serves as a special opportunity for the youth to deepen their faith, build friendships, and celebrate unity through various spiritual, cultural, and community activities.

The SJAP youth representatives expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to represent their parish and be part of such a significant event. They also shared their excitement to join fellow pilgrims in prayers, reflections, and inspiring sessions that aim to strengthen their relationship with God and with one another.

As Day 1 officially begins, the delegates look forward to a series of activities that will enrich their spiritual journey and create lasting memories. More than just an event, Regional Youth Day is a powerful reminder of the strength, faith, and vibrancy of the youth in the Church today.

The delegates from the Sogod Vicariate continue to carry with them the hopes and prayers of their respective communities as they embark on this inspiring journey of faith here in Calbayog City.

PALO, LEYTE — The two youth delegates from Saint James the Apostle Parish (SJAP) in Tomas Oppus, together with fellow young pilgrims from different parishes of the Sogod Vicariate, are currently in Palo, Leyte as they continue their journey to the Regional Youth Day (RYD) in Calbayog City, Samar.

The group made a stop in Palo while waiting for transportation bound for Calbayog. Despite the pause, the atmosphere remains filled with excitement, unity, and anticipation as the youth prepare for the much-awaited gathering.

As they await the next leg of their trip, the youth carry with them enthusiasm and devotion, ready to fully experience the activities and inspiration that the Regional Youth Day has to offer.

The journey continues, and so does their mission—to live out their faith and represent their parishes with pride and purpose.
