STATUS OF ROOF REPLACEMENT

After 11 working days, with our dedicated workers putting in 12 hours of work each dayโ€”from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, we are grateful to see the steady progress of our Church Roof Replacement Project.

Every sheet installed and every step completed brings us closer to having a safer, stronger, and more beautiful house of worship for our parish community.

But the work continues, and we still need your help.

We humbly invite our parishioners, friends, and generous benefactors to support this project through your prayers and financial contributions. Every donation, big or small, can make a difference. You may give your donation at the Parish Office.

Together, let us help rebuild and preserve our church not only as a structure, but as a place where our faith, hope, and community continue to grow.

Daghang salamat sa inyong suporta ug pagkamanggihatagon! ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

With grateful hearts, we mark another milestone in the Church Roofing Project โ€“ Phase 1 of the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Juan de Sahagun Parish.

Today, we officially received the roofing materials generously sponsored by Carmen Copper Corporation for the renovation of our parish church roof. We extend our sincere gratitude for this invaluable support, which brings us one step closer to providing a safer and more beautiful house of worship for our community.

The turnover was attended by Mr. Christopher John Salcedo, Assistant Vice President of Carmen Copper Corporation; Mr. Joemar Pritos, Community Relations Head; and Mr. Jonerey Gabotero, Community Relations โ€“ General Foreman. Joining them were our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jesus B. Reyes, together with Rev. Fr. Loreto Jumao-as, Rev. Fr. Filomeno Ybaรฑez, Rev. Fr. Benedicto Ejares, and members of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC).

Today we Celebrate the Memorial of the Bethany Siblings one of Jesusโ€™s closest friends, who in their charity served and welcomed Our Lord in their house.

On 5:30 in the afternoon in our Parish, The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be Celebrated in their Honor. And after the Holy Mass, a Solemn Procession will follow.

Sts. Martha, Lazarus, and Mary of Bethany, Pray for us!

IN PHOTO | In the spirit of synodality and communion, the Vicariate of San Juan de Sahagรบn successfully conducted the Parish Formators Training at the Archdiocesan Shrine of San Juan de Sahagรบn Parish.

Gathering from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, parish representatives from St Raphael The Archangel Parish (Aloguinsan), Sta. Monica Parish (Pinamungajan), San Vincente Ferrer Parish (Bato), San Juan de Sahagun Parish (Poblacion), Sta. Cruz Parish (Talavera) and Our Lady of Immaculate Conception (Matab-ang) came together for a meaningful day of formation, reflection, and fellowship as they deepened their commitment to serving the Church and their respective communities.

Anchored on the Archdiocese of Cebu 2034: Journeying Together as a Church Fully Alive pastoral journey, this yearโ€™s formation embraced the theme:
2026 Thrust: Listening Church, Hearing Godโ€™s Voice and the Cries of His People.โ€

The gathering served as a reminder that authentic Christian leadership begins with listeningโ€”listening to God, to one another, and especially to those whose voices often go unheard. As parish formators, may we continue to become instruments of hope, unity, and renewal, walking together as one Church, inspired by the Holy Spirit and committed to Christโ€™s mission.

โ€œSpeak, Lord, for your servant is listening.โ€ โ€” 1 Samuel 3:10

May the fruits of this formation strengthen every participant to serve with humility, compassion, and unwavering faith as we journey together toward a Church Fully Alive.

Laughter echoed through familiar streets, tables overflowed with shared meals, and old stories found new life in warm conversations.

The Barrio Fiesta is a celebration of more than tradition, it is a celebration of belonging. It reminds us that the true richness of a community is found in the people who choose, year after year, to gather, serve, and rejoice together.

The memories created, the friendships strengthened, and the spirit of togetherness continues to define our barrio is beyond celebration but a testament to the enduring connections that make our barrio not just a place, but a home.

Because home is not just a place, it is the people who make every celebration meaningful.

Gathered around one altar and united in one spirit, we celebrated the Holy Mass, the heart of our fiesta and the source from which our joy flows. The mass was presided by Most Rev. Alberto "Abet" S. Uy, D.D., Archbishop of Cebu.

Amidst the festivities, we are reminded that every blessing finds its true meaning in thanksgiving. May this Eucharistic celebration continue to nourish our souls and inspire us to become instruments of God's love in our homes and communities.

ATONG IAMPO ATONG KAPARIAN | โ€œAng mga pari unta mahimong modelo sa kahiusahan ug kalinaw diha sa katilingban. We need it this time. Kanang tawo nga maka-inspire. Dili makabahin. Makadasig ug makahiusa.

Usahay mabalisa ko kon makadungog ko og storya nga ang usa ka katilingban nagubot, nagkabahin-bahin, tungod sa ilang pari. Dili maayo nga hitabo kana. Unta ang pari maoy point and center of unity. Atong iampo atong kaparian.โ€
