𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬.
As we enter the Lenten season, we are invited to hear once again the gentle yet urgent call from the Lord: “Return to me with all your heart.” These words from Joel 2:12 remind us that Lent is not simply about sacrifice, but about rediscovering the depth of God’s mercy and allowing our hearts to be drawn back to Him.

This season encourages us to step away from what distracts us and to make room for what truly matters. Through prayer, repentance, and acts of compassion, we open ourselves to healing and renewal. Lent becomes a journey of honesty—acknowledging where we’ve wandered and choosing, day by day, to return to the One who never stops seeking us.

May these forty days be a time of quiet transformation. As we return to God with our whole hearts, may we experience His grace in new and surprising ways. May we walk this path with faith, courage, and hope, trusting that every step toward Him is met with boundless love. ✝️

On the feast day of the Señor Santo Niño de Cebu, we come before the Holy Child with humble and trusting hearts. In every need, doubt, and temptation, we turn to Him, confident that His gentle presence brings light, strength, and guidance to our lives.

In moments of loneliness, weariness, and trials, when our plans fail and our hopes are shaken, we cling to the Santo Niño as our refuge. When others fail us and only grace can sustain us, we entrust ourselves to His tender love, believing that He never abandons those who call upon Him.

In sickness, weakness, and impatience, despite our falls and shortcomings, we continue to return to the Santo Niño with childlike faith. Always and in all things, may the Señor Santo Niño de Cebu be our help, our comfort, and our enduring hope. PIT SEÑOR! VIVA SEÑOR!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ARCHBISHOP! | Today, we joyfully celebrate the 9th Episcopal Ordination Anniversary of His Excellency, Most Reverend Alberto S. Uy, D.D., Metropolitan Archbishop of Cebu. Appointed Bishop of Tagbilaran by Pope Francis on October 13, 2016, he was consecrated a bishop at the Blessed Trinity Cathedral in Talibon, Bohol on January 5, 2017, beginning his episcopal ministry as the seventh Bishop of Tagbilaran and faithfully serving his first episcopal assignment there.

Now, as he marks his 9th year in the episcopacy, he celebrates this milestone while serving as the 5th Archbishop of Cebu, continuing to shepherd God’s people with humility, wisdom, and pastoral zeal.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Archbishop Abet. May Your Holy Spirit continue to guide him with wisdom, courage, and compassion as he shepherds Your flock in Cebu. Grant him strength, joy, and deeper love for Your people. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

“𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗨𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿, 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗺” (𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗮𝗵 𝟲𝟬:𝟭)
On this feast of the Epiphany, we celebrate the glorious revelation of Christ to all nations. Guided by the star, the Magi journeyed in faith and wonder, discovering not just a King, but the Savior of the world. In the humility of the Child in Bethlehem, God makes His light visible— a light meant for every people, culture, and generation.

As the light of Christ continues to shine, we are called to rise and follow, just as the Magi did. May we offer Him our finest gifts: hearts ready to adore, lives willing to serve, and faith courageous enough to witness. May the light we have seen lead others to Christ, the true Light who illumines the world.

In the silence of the First Friday Holy Hour, we are invited to draw near to Jesus truly present in the Most Holy Sacrament. Following the footsteps of Saint Carlo Acutis, who found his strength and joy in the Eucharist, we come to adore, to listen, and to rest our hearts before the Lord who waits for us with infinite love.

This Holy Hour is a moment to pause from the noise of daily life and to realign our lives with Christ. Like Carlo, who called the Eucharist his “highway to heaven,” we are reminded that closeness to Jesus is not a distant ideal but a daily choice—one that transforms our faith and renews our hope.

The Holy Hour will be done after the 5pm Mass, During the Holy Hour, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will also be made available, with Rev. Fr. Pepito Batomalaque hearing confessions. All are warmly invited to encounter Christ in adoration and mercy, to be healed, renewed, and sent forth closer to Jesus than ever before. 🙏✨

As we step into this new year, we entrust our dreams, struggles, and hopes to the Lord. May this year be filled with deeper faith, stronger service, and youthful courage to love, lead, and serve the Church. Together, let us walk forward as beacons of hope and witnesses of Christ’s love.

As the Church welcomes the New Year, we place its first moments in the loving hands of Mary, the Mother of God. She who carried Christ into the world now walks with us into a new beginning, teaching us to trust God with what lies ahead. Under her maternal care, the year unfolds not in fear, but in hope—rooted in the promise that God is with us.

“But Mary kept all these things, pondering them in her heart” (Luke 2:19). At the dawn of this New Year, may we learn from Mary to reflect, to listen, and to entrust our plans, dreams, and uncertainties to the Lord, that our lives may echo her faithful yes and lead us closer to Christ each day.

𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐒: 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐉𝐔𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐄 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑🌟

Even as the Jubilee of Hope draws to a close, the grace it awakened does not end with ceremonies or calendars. What was planted in our hearts was never meant to be temporary, for “hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit” (Romans 5:5). The doors may close, but the invitation to trust, to believe, and to persevere remains wide open.

We carry this hope into our daily lives—into our struggles, our service, and our silent prayers. It is a hope that stays faithful when answers are delayed, a hope that walks with us even when the road is uncertain. Anchored in Christ, it teaches us to remain steadfast, knowing that God is still at work beyond what we can see.

So we move forward not empty-handed, but filled with a living hope that endures. May our hearts remain open to grace, our faith rooted in love, and our lives a quiet testimony that the Jubilee may end, but hope in God never does.

“𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐘𝐂𝐂: 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐝, 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝, 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞”
It was a heartwarming celebration of togetherness, where we shared laughter, stories, and the joy of the Christmas season. Spreading cheer and embracing the true meaning of Christmas, we created memories that will last a lifetime. "Love Loud, Joy Shared, Hope Alive" resonated in every heart, every song, and every connection made throughout the night.
