𝐀 𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄 | With hearts filled with joy and Marian devotion, we warmly welcome the Nuestra Señora de Regla from the Parish and National Shrine of Nuestra Señora de Regla, Lapu-Lapu City, to San Pedro Calungsod Parish, Cantabaco, Toledo City as part of Visita Señora 2026, in preparation for the forthcoming Patronal Fiesta. The arrival of the Nuestra Señora de Regla will be on August 22, 2026 (Saturday) at 4:00 PM, followed by a Holy Mass at 5:30 PM and a Prayer Vigil until 8:00 PM. It will depart on August 23, 2026 (Sunday) at 8:00 AM.

We invite all parishioners and devotees to come, pray, and pay homage to Our Lady of the Rule during her brief yet grace-filled visit to our parish. May this Marian visitation deepen our faith, renew our devotion, and draw us ever closer to Christ through the loving intercession of His Blessed Mother.

A glimpse into her history:

The devotion to Nuestra Señora de Regla in Cebu dates back to 1735, when Augustinian missionary Fr. Francisco Avalle, the first parish priest of Opon (now Lapu-Lapu City), introduced the devotion to Our Lady of Regla among the local faithful. Having lived for years at the Monastery of Nuestra Señora de Regla in Chipiona, Spain, Fr. Avalle shared this devotion with the people, who eventually chose the Blessed Virgin Mary as their patroness.

Through the years, this devotion has flourished and continues to draw countless pilgrims and devotees to her National Shrine.

𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘 | 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 & 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 | With grateful hearts, we present the Financial Report for the Solemn Rite of Church and Altar Dedication of San Pedro Calungsod Parish, Cantabaco.

Through the generosity, cooperation, and unwavering support of our parishioners, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and friends, a total income of ₱1,013,404.00 was raised for this historic celebration. Total expenditures amounted to ₱838,032.00, leaving a net remaining balance of ₱175,372.00 for parish use.

Every contribution whether financial, in-kind, or through service became part of this meaningful milestone in the life of our parish. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who generously shared their blessings and helped make the Solemn Rite of Church and Altar Dedication a dignified, prayerful, and memorable celebration.

In the spirit of accountability and transparency, complete donor records and detailed expenses are made available for review through the Parish Bulletin Board.

𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕, 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒖𝒑.

𝐊𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐝 𝐤𝐚 𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐠𝐦𝐚, 𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐰 𝐩𝐚𝐠 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫.

𝟐𝟎𝐓𝐇 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 | Earlier today, August 16, 2026, the faithful of San Pedro Calungsod Parish gathered for the Holy Mass on the 20th Sunday in Ordinary Time. In his homily, Rev. Fr. Ruel G. Marigomen reflected on a simple reminder: “Chances favors those who persist.” He shared how this message reminds us that opportunities often come to those who refuse to give up.

Through the Gospel, Fr. Ruel highlighted the example of a Mother who continued to ask Jesus for help, not for herself, but for her child. Her persistence showed her deep love and faith. From this, he shared three reminders: do not give up on the people we love, do not give up because we trust in God, and do not give up because we have hope for tomorrow.

May we continue to hold on to our faith, remain faithful in prayer, and trust that even after difficult days, there is always another day to begin again. As Fr. Ruel reminded us, “God will never leave and abandon us.”
