𝙀𝙈𝘽𝙍𝘼𝘾𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙍𝙀𝘾𝙊𝙉𝘾𝙄𝙇𝙄𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙃𝙊𝙋𝙀 – 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝘾𝙇𝙐𝘿𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙀𝙏𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙏

On this significant final day of our retreat, we gathered together in heartfelt reflection and spiritual communion, guided by the profound wisdom of our esteemed speaker, Fr. Keirstin Lamparas, PSDP. The day’s focal theme – “𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑬𝒏𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝑨𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒔𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝑻𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅” – resonated deeply within each of our hearts, challenging us to confront the complexities of human relationships while anchoring our faith in the transformative power of love and forgiveness.

Fr. Keirstin’s teachings illuminated the sacred call to extend mercy even to those with whom we find ourselves in conflict, reminding us that reconciliation is not merely an act of compromise but a radical demonstration of Christ’s love working through us. In a world often marked by division, injustice, and turmoil, he emphasized that hope is not a passive sentiment but an active choice to trust in God’s divine plan for healing and renewal. Through scriptural insights, personal reflections, and thoughtful guidance, he encouraged us to view every opportunity for reconciliation as a pathway to spiritual growth and a testament to our commitment to living as disciples of Christ.

As we partook in the body and blood of Christ, we were united in prayer for the grace to practice reconciliation, to be beacons of hope in challenging times, and to serve as instruments of peace in our communities and beyond.

As the retreat drew to a close, our beloved FSDP sisters prepared to return to their respective homes, carrying with them not only cherished memories of our time together but also a renewed sense of purpose and spiritual vitality. May we continue to live out the call to reconciliation and hope, allowing our faith to shine brightly even in the midst of a broken world.

‎This day isn’t just about sorrow for past missteps; it’s about opening our hearts to growth. The ashes symbolize both our fragility and our potential—like soil that needs tending to bear fruit, our lives need reflection, prayer, and letting go of what weighs us down to make space for grace. As we step into Lent from this moment, we carry the reminder that even in our imperfection, we are loved, and that every small act of turning back to what is good and true is a step closer to the hope of Easter.

‎Today, we take a bold step forward in faith as the Diocese of Calbayog officially launches Vocation Month 2026! Gathered at the La Milagrosa Academy this February 7, the air is filled with inspiration, prayer, and a shared commitment to answer the Lord’s call.
‎In a beautiful display of unity, the Commission on Vocation and Seminarians and the members of the Association of Religious in Calbayog (ARC) have come together to remind us that every vocation is a mission. Under the theme “BOKASYON: Bukas sa Misyon,” we are challenged to open our hearts and say "Yes" to wherever God leads us.

We are honored to announce the solemn blessing of Our Mother of the Divine Providence Chapel on November 30, 2025 – a date thoughtfully coinciding with the First Sunday of Advent – presided over by His Excellency Isabelo Abaraquez, Bishop of Calbayog. This momentous celebration stands as a cornerstone event for the Franciscan Sisters of the Divine Providence, embodying the very essence of their mission to serve with compassion and faith.

The chapel will serve as a spiritual anchor for the sisters’ vital ministry to the children under their care at Wings of Faith Children’s Home, providing a sacred space for worship, reflection, and the nurturing of young souls. As we begin the holy season of Advent – a time of anticipation and hope – this blessing marks both a new beginning for the chapel and a reaffirmation of the community’s commitment to supporting the sisters’ work. Rotary Club of Calbayog City collaboration with St. Mary's Maternity Clinic for a meaningful medical mission at the Wings of Faith Children's Home 🙏🏼👧. This orphanage is home to precious children who deserve love, care, and quality healthcare.

Together, they're bringing healthcare services to those who need it most! The dedicated medical team provided medical check-ups, treatments, and essential health services to ensure the well-being of our little heroes. 💊🏥

For 24 years, we've have been a beacon of hope and compassion, particularly in our apostolate of children and orphanage work. Through the selfless dedication, we embody the values of St. Francis, serving the vulnerable with love and devotion. As we celebrate the 24th Founding Anniversary, we honor our commitment to the Lord's work and pray for our continued growth and fruitfulness. May God bless the FSDP Sisters and guide us in our mission.

A young man with great aspirations, small in stature and having an extrovert personality, Francis always had in his heart the desire to do great things. He demonstrated this in his 20s when he left for the war between Assisi and Perugia, and later to help end the conflict of the crusades. He was born in 1182 the son of a rich fabric merchant, Pietro di Bernardone, and a noblewoman from Provence, Pica, and grew up occupied with family duties and worldly affairs. When he returned from his war experience, he was ill and shaken, unrecognizable to all. Something left a deep impression on his soul beyond his experience of the war.

Embracing Lady Poverty, the uncontainable joy unleashed by feeling loved and called by God helped strengthen the wish of young Francis to live by Providence, and in observance of the Gospel, he decided to give away all he had to the poor. At this point the distance between him and his father, Pietro Di Bernardone, became irreparable. His father denounced him publicly during an audience with Bishop Guido. Francis declared his deep desire to marry “Lady Poverty”, and he removed his clothes as a way of renouncing his father’s wealth.
