Title: The Believer’s WALK with God
Text : Colossians 1:10
“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God ..”

INTRODUCTION

A. Many Christians today are saved, attending church and active in ministry yet their daily WALK does not reflect intimacy with God.

B. Apostle Paul’s prayer in Colossians 1:10 was NOT merely for believers to gain information but for them to live a life that is pleasing unto the Lord.

The Christian life is not a sprint but a WALK.

A walk speaks of direction.
A walk speaks of progress.
A walk speaks of fellowship.
A walk speaks of consistency.

Enoch walked with God.
Noah walked with God.
The disciples walked with Jesus.

Today God still desires His people to WALK with Him.

Because Christ has saved us, every believer must develop a daily WALK that is worthy, fruitful, growing, and pleasing unto the Lord.

Colossians 1:10 , Paul gives us four important characteristics of a godly WALK.

“How can a believer develop a WALK that is pleasing unto the Lord according to Colossians 1:10?”

I. W - alk Worthy of the Lord. Col. 1:10a
“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing…”

A. The word “walk” in the Greek is peripateo — meaning “to live continually” or “to conduct one’s life.”

May consistency ba between Sunday worship and weekday living?

D. Hindi perfect walk ang hinihingi ng Diyos, kundi surrendered walk.

II. A - bound in Good Works. Col. 1:10b
“…being fruitful in every good work…”

A. Ang tunay na believer ay may bunga. Salvation is by grace but genuine salvation produces good works.

The word “fruitful” implies spiritual productivity. [John 15:5 / Titus 3:8]

B. Application
. May impact ba ang Christian life mo sa ibang tao?. Are you serving or simply attending?

C. Practical Good Works:. Soulwinning. Encouragement. Giving. Discipleship. Helping others

D. A fruitless Christian is a discouraged Christian.

III. Learn More of God. Col. 1:10c
“…increasing in the knowledge of God;”

A. God never intended believers to remain spiritually immature.

B. The word “knowledge” comes from Greek epignosis — full and experiential knowledge.

Hindi sapat ang “kilala” lang ang Diyos; dapat lumalalim ang relasyon natin sa Kanya. [2 Peter 3:18 / Philippians 3:10]

C. Application:
. Lumalago ka ba spiritually?. Mas kilala mo ba si Cristo ngayon kaysa noon?

D. Ways to Grow:. Bible reading. Prayer. Church attendance Obedience. Meditation on Scripture

E. A stagnant believer becomes vulnerable to compromise.

IV. Keep Pleasing God. Col. 1:10
“…unto all pleasing…”

A. The goal of the Christian walk is not pleasing self, culture, or people but pleasing God. [Gal. 1:10/2 Cor. 5:9]

B. Application:
. Sino ang mas mahalaga sa decisions mo - Diyos o tao?. Are your choices honoring Christ?

C. When God is pleased, your walk gains eternal value.

CONCLUSION

A Christian life that does not WALK with God will eventually drift away from God.

The Lord did not redeem us simply to occupy a church pew once a week.
He saved us so we may WALK with Him every day.

WALK worthy.
Abound in good works.
Learn more of God.
Keep pleasing God.

When your WALK is right your witness becomes powerful.

The world is not only listening to what Christians say they are watching how Christians WALK.

“Is my WALK drawing me closer to Christ?”

Maybe your WALK has become:. cold,. inconsistent,. worldly,. distracted or. spiritually stagnant.

But today God is calling you back into close fellowship with Him.

One step of obedience can restore your WALK with God.

“Lord, teach me to WALK worthy of You. Help me live a life that pleases You daily. Let my life bear fruit and grow deeper in knowing You .."

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
The love of God and
The fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forevermore. Amen

Conclusion:
Ask Yourself:
- Am I trusting the Shepherd’s provision in the presence of enemies?
- Am I receiving His anointing of favor and holiness?
- Am I living in the overflow of His blessings?

Psalm 23:5 reminds us that the Shepherd not only stands with us but supplies us.

He prepares the table, anoints the head, and fills the cup to overflowing.

If the Lord is your Shepherd:
You are PROVIDED
You are PRIVILEGED
You are PLENTIFUL

- He prepares your table in trials.
- He anoints your head with blessing.
- He fills your cup with abundance.

And because of Him…
“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

A. The Valley is Real
- Life has valleys of sorrow, sickness, and suffering.

- Am I finding comfort in His rod and staff?

Psalm 23:4 reminds us that the Shepherd not only strengthens us but stands with us.

He walks with the fearful, comforts the hurting, and protects His people with His presence.

If the Lord is your Shepherd:
You are COURAGEOUS
You are COMFORTED
You are COVERED

- He walks with you in the valley.
- He removes fear with His presence.
- He comforts you with His rod and staff.

And because of Him…

E. By God’s grace we will delve into “The Shepherd Who Strengthens.”

I. THE RESTORATION FROM THE SHEPHERD

You are RIGHTEOUS
You are REDIRECTED

- He revives your soul when weary.
— He leads you in holy paths.
— He turns your steps toward His will and glory.

And because of Him…

18/05/2026

Title: “The Shepherd Who Supplies”
Text : Psalm 23:1
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

A. Psalm 23 was written by David, a shepherd boy who became a king. David understood both the responsibility of a shepherd and the helplessness of sheep. Kaya nung sinabi niya, “The LORD is my shepherd,” hindi ito theology lang—ito ay testimony.

B. The theme is the believer’s complete satisfaction and security in the Shepherdhood of the Lord.

C. The Main Truth is when the Lord is truly our Shepherd, we experience His presence, provision, and protection.

D. Psalm 23 is a living psalm for everyday battles, fears, and needs.

E. By God's grace we will delve about “The Shepherd Who Supplies”

I. THE PERSON OF THE SHEPHERD
“The LORD is my shepherd…”

A. The Shepherd is Divine

“The LORD” — Jehovah Yahweh, the self-existing covenant God.

Hebrew word: YHWH [Yahweh]
Meaning: The Eternal, Covenant-Keeping God.

Hindi ordinary shepherd ang kasama natin. The Creator Himself becomes the caretaker of His sheep.

B. The Shepherd is Personal

David did not say:
“The LORD is a shepherd”
“The LORD is the shepherd”

He said: “MY shepherd.”

Salvation is personal. Relationship is personal.

C. The Shepherd is Present
A shepherd never abandons the sheep.

Jesus echoed this truth in: “I am the good shepherd…” John 10:11

Application:

Maraming tao ang may religion but no relationship.
The greatest comfort in life is not wealth, but knowing the Shepherd personally.

II. THE PROVISION OF THE SHEPHERD
“…I shall not want.”

A. He Supplies Our Needs

Not necessarily our greeds—but our needs.

Philippians 4:19
“But my God shall supply all your need…”

The sheep survives because of the shepherd.

B. He Sustains Our Soul

A sheep cannot feed itself properly without guidance.

Spiritually, we need:

God’s Word
God’s Presence
God’s Direction

C. He Satisfies Our Heart

The phrase “I shall not want” means:
I lack nothing essential
I am content in Him

Application:

Kapag ang Panginoon ang Shepherd mo, hindi ka empty kahit simple lang buhay mo.

III. THE PEACE OF THE SHEPHERD
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

A. Peace in His Leadership

Sheep are naturally fearful creatures.

Yet sheep become calm when the shepherd is near.

B. Peace in His Protection

The shepherd guards:

from wolves
from cliffs
from danger

God protects us spiritually, emotionally, and eternally.

C. Peace in His Promises

Because the Shepherd is faithful, the sheep can rest.

Application:

Hindi lahat ng season ay madali, but every season becomes bearable when the Shepherd walks with us.

Word Study : “Shepherd”
Hebrew: Ra‘ah Meaning:. to feed. to tend. to guide. to protect

This reveals God not only as ruler but as caretaker.

Practical Lessons:

1. Sheep that wander become vulnerable.
2. Sheep that follow the shepherd remain safe.
3. Satisfaction is found not in possessions but in the Presence of God.
4. The closer the sheep is to the Shepherd, the safer it becomes.

Ask yourself:

Is the Lord truly MY Shepherd?
Am I following His voice?
Am I trusting His provision?

Without the Shepherd, sheep are lost.
With the Shepherd, sheep are secure.

Psalm 23:1 reminds us that the Christian life is not sustained by our strength but by the Shepherd’s sufficiency.

If the Lord is your Shepherd:.. You are guided... You are guarded... You are guaranteed His care.

And because of Him…
“I shall not want.”

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ
The love of God and
The fellowship of the Hoky Spirit be with you now and forevermore. Amen
