Sin Brings Death

God’s Word clearly teaches that sin carries serious consequences. From the beginning, the Lord warned humanity about the danger of disobedience. In Genesis 2:17 (KJV), God said to Adam:

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

This was the first warning concerning sin and its result. Death entered the world because humanity chose to disobey God. Sin not only brought physical death, but also spiritual separation from the Creator.

The truth about sin is repeated throughout Scripture. In Romans 6:23 (KJV), the apostle Paul declares:

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Sin pays a terrible wage, death. Yet God, in His mercy, offers eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Another powerful warning is found in James 1:14–15 (KJV):

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

Sin often begins with temptation and unchecked desire, but if allowed to grow, it ultimately leads to destruction. God warns us because He desires life for His people, not ruin. However, the Bible also reveals God’s hope and redemption. In Ezekiel 18:32 (KJV), the Lord says:

“For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.”

God calls people to repent and turn back to Him. Through Christ, forgiveness and new life are available to all who believe.

In Summar, sin brings death because it separates people from the holiness of God. Yet the Lord lovingly warns humanity so that we may repent, walk in obedience, and receive the eternal life found in Jesus Christ our Lord.

"Beware of Deception"

From the beginning of human history, deception has been one of the enemy’s most effective tools. In Genesis 3:4–5 (KJV), the serpent subtly twists God’s truth to mislead Eve:

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

Here, deception appears persuasive because it mixes truth with lies. The serpent challenges God’s warning and plants doubt, making disobedience seem desirable. This moment reveals how deception often works, not through obvious falsehoods, but through distortion and subtle contradiction of God’s Word.

Scripture repeatedly warns believers to stay alert. In Matthew 24:4 (KJV), Jesus cautions.

“Take heed that no man deceive you.”
Deception is not rare; it is widespread and dangerous. Without vigilance, even sincere hearts can be led astray.

The apostle Paul echoes this warning in 2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV):

“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

This shows that deception often looks appealing, good, or even spiritual. It can disguise itself as truth, making discernment essential for every believer.

God provides guidance on how to stand firm. In 1 John 4:1 (KJV), we are instructed:

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…

Testing what we hear against God’s Word protects us from error. Truth is the standard that exposes deception.

The warning from Genesis continues to echo today: deception begins when we question God’s truth and trust another voice above His. By staying grounded in Scripture, seeking discernment, and remaining watchful, we can guard our hearts and walk in truth rather than error.

Obey God’s Command.

From the very beginning, God made it clear that obedience is central to our relationship with Him. In Genesis 2:17 (KJV), the Lord gave a direct command to Adam:

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

This verse shows that God’s commands are not arbitrary, they are given with purpose, truth, and consequence. Obedience brings life and fellowship with God, while disobedience leads to separation and spiritual death.

Throughout Scripture, this principle is repeated. In Deuteronomy 5:33 (KJV), we are reminded:

“Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you.

Obedience is tied directly to well-being and blessing. It is not merely about following rules, but about trusting God’s wisdom above our own understanding.
Similarly, 1 Samuel 15:22 (KJV) emphasizes the heart of obedience:

“Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”
God values a willing and obedient heart more than outward acts of religion. True obedience comes from love, reverence, and faith.

Jesus Himself reinforced this truth in John 14:15 (KJV)

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Obedience is the evidence of our love for God. It reflects a life surrendered to His will and guided by His Word.

Obeying God’s command is not just a duty, it is a pathway to life, blessing, and deeper fellowship with Him. The message from Genesis to the New Testament remains consistent: trust God, follow His Word, and walk in obedience, for His commands are always for our good.

Happy Sabbath brothers and Sisters in Christ.
God bless us all.❤️🙏

𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗜 𝗡𝗔 𝗡𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗢𝗧 𝗞𝗨𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗔𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗜𝗬𝗔 𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗔

— Mateo 23:12
