[EDITORIAL] Season of Ceeation 2026: Water as Superconnector

As we end the Season of Creation, may we remember that our care for creation does not end with the season.

Throughout this journey, we have seen how water connects everything. From our forests and oceans, food and communities, climate and health, and the present generation with those yet to come. From water scarcity and drought to plastic pollution, deforestation, food security, biodiversity, and climate change, we are reminded that no environmental concern exists in isolation.

Water is a superconnector and a common good. To protect it is to protect life itself.

May we continue to conserve water, reduce waste, restore ecosystems, protect our oceans and forests, plant trees, and make choices that care for our common home. Even small actions, when done together, can create meaningful change.

Tulad ng ubasan na inalagaan ng may-ari, tayo rin ay tinatawag na maging mabubuting katiwala at mamunga ng kabutihan, pagmamahal, at paglilingkod. Ipinapaalala sa atin ni Hesus na ang lahat ng mayroon tayo ay biyayang ipinagkatiwala ng Diyos.

Hindi sapat na tanggapin lamang natin ang mga biyayang ipinagkaloob ng Panginoon. Tayo ay tinatawag na gamitin ang mga ito sa mabuting paraan at ibahagi sa ating kapwa. Sa ating mga salita, kilos, at pakikitungo, nawa’y makita ng ating kapwa ang mga bungang nagmumula sa ating pananampalataya.

Nawa’y patuloy nating payabungin ang mga biyayang ipinagkatiwala sa atin at gamitin ang mga ito para sa kaluwalhatian ng Diyos at sa kabutihan ng ating kapwa.

‎Are we prepared when disaster strikes? Do we know where to go, what to bring, and how to protect ourselves and our loved ones during an emergency? And how can we help build safer and more resilient communities?
‎
‎By the guidance of the verse Matthew 24:42, which reminds us to remain watchful, may we recognize the importance of being prepared not only in faith but also in our daily actions. As we celebrate the Season of Creation, let us remember that caring for our common home also means protecting our communities, helping those in need, and taking responsibility for one another.
‎Let us come together as one community in promoting preparedness, strengthening our resilience, and caring for God's creation. 🌿🤝 😇

Yesterday, October 2, we commemorated the 9th death anniversary of Fr. Ed Orpilla, SVD, our former Parish Priest.

With grateful hearts, we remember his life and faithful service as a shepherd of our parish community. His dedication to the priestly ministry and the time he spent serving our parish remain part of our community's history and memories.

As we remember his life and legacy, may we continue to offer our prayers for the eternal repose of his soul, trusting in the loving mercy of God.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Ngayong araw na ito, buong puso tayong nagtitipon upang parangalan ang Kalinis-linisang Puso ni Maria. Ang devotion na ito ay isang paanyaya upang mag-alay ng panalangin at pagsisisi para sa kapayapaan ng buong mundo.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagdarasal ng Banal na Rosaryo, inilalapit natin ang ating mga kagalakan at laban sa buhay sa ating Ina. Ang kanyang Kalinis-linisang Puso ay laging nakabukas upang kalingain at gabayan ang bawat pamilya.

Sa tahimik na pagsunod ni Maria sa kalooban ng Diyos, makikita natin ang isang pusong puno ng pananampalataya, kababaang-loob, at pagmamahal. Nawa’y sa ating debosyon sa kanyang Kalinis-linisang Puso, matuto rin tayong maglaan ng ating sarili sa Diyos at mas mapalapit kay Hesus.

On First Friday, we’re invited to come closer to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus—an open door to love, mercy, and healing. And this month, that grace finds a beautiful echo in the Feast of Guardian Angels.

It’s comforting to believe that we are not walking through life alone. Even when our days feel heavy, even when we’re unsure of what comes next, God gives us gentle companions—our guardian angels—who watch over us, protect us, and help guide our hearts back to Him.

Today, let us offer Jesus our trust. Let us remember that His Heart beats with tenderness for every worry we carry. And let us thank God for the quiet care of His angels—those unseen signs of His love—reminding us to choose goodness, peace, and hope.

May your First Friday devotion become a prayer of surrender:

“Jesus, I place my life in Your Heart. Guardian Angel, stand with me. Teach me to listen, to be brave, and to love.”

Ngayong araw, ipinagdiriwang natin ang Paggunita sa mga Banal na Anghel na Tagatanod—mga anghel na itinalaga ng Diyos upang samahan, gabayan, at ingatan tayo sa ating paglalakbay sa buhay.

Sa kanilang tahimik na paggabay at pag-iingat, nawa’y lagi nating alalahanin ang pagmamahal at pagkalinga ng Diyos sa bawat isa sa atin. Hilingin natin ang kanilang patnubay upang manatili tayong tapat sa Panginoon at mamuhay ayon sa Kanyang kalooban.

Balikan natin ang mga makabuluhang sandali mula sa Rito ng Pagtatalaga ni Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Menguito, SVD bilang bagong Parish Priest ng St. Arnold Janssen Shrine Parish, sa pangunguna ni Most Rev. Ruperto Cruz Santos, D.D., Bishop of Antipolo.

Isang mahalagang sandali ng pagtanggap, panunumpa, at pagtatalaga sa isang bagong misyon ng paglilingkod sa sambayanan ng Diyos. Nawa’y patuloy na samahan ng panalangin at pagkakaisa ng buong pamayanan si Fr. Meng sa kanyang bagong tungkulin at misyon bilang ating pastol.
