𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗬 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗧, 𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗘! 🌧️

Magandang araw, mga kapatid!

Nararanasan natin ngayon ang walang tigil na pag-ulan at alam nating baha na ang ilang mga daanan.

Pero rain or shine, tuloy na tuloy ang ating Sunday Worship Service mamaya! Looking forward kaming makasama kayo sa ating rain-proof at airconditioned na church hall. Kung ligtas sa inyong lugar at kaya ng byahe, inaasahan namin kayo!

Para naman sa mga kapatid nating hindi talaga makakapunta dahil sa baha at lagay ng panahon, we thank God para sa ating masipag na Tech Team, sa ating mga devices, at sa internet connection!

Dahil sa mga ito, posible pa rin tayong magkaisa sa pananampalataya at pagsamba sa pamamagitan ng ating online worship service.

Wala pa ring makakapigil sa pagpupuri natin sa Panginoon!

𝗦𝗜𝗬𝗔 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝗛𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗞 𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗨𝗞𝗔𝗦! 🌅

Magandang araw, mga kapatid!

Sa pagtatapos ng buwan ng Hulyo, balikan natin ang mga nakalipas na araw at makikita natin kung paano tayo matapat na itinawid ng Diyos sa isa na namang buwan na puno ng mga challenges, matitinding bagyo, at pati na rin ng mga tagumpay.

Whatever August holds, kampante tayo dahil we know Who holds August. Tapusin natin ang buwan na ito nang may pusong puno ng malalim na pasasalamat at hindi natitinag na pagtitiwala sa ating Panginoon!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 “𝗜𝗧'𝗦 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗠𝗬 𝗕𝗢𝗗𝗬” 𝗕𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗔 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗧

One of the most common statements we hear today is:

"𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗸𝗼 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝗼."

And yes...

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆.

But as 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, the better question isn't simply,

"𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗜?"

It's...

"𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱?"

Because 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲.

It's about asking how closely we can follow Jesus.

When it comes to 𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗴𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Some say,

"Leviticus is part of the Old Testament."

Others reply,

"Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit."

But perhaps we're asking the wrong first question.

Before asking whether something is permitted...

We should ask:

"𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴?"

𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽?

Or 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲?

𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁?

𝗢𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲?

𝟭 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟭𝟬:𝟯𝟭 reminds us:

"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙧 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠, 𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤, 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙙."

Notice that Paul doesn't give us a checklist for every modern issue.

Instead, he gives us a principle.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼... 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱.

That changes the conversation.

Because 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗻.

𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

Romans 12:1 calls us to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.

Not because our bodies earn salvation...

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝘀.

This isn't about shaming people who already have tattoos.

This isn't about condemning those who have piercings.

The Church should never be known for pushing people away.

Jesus welcomed sinners before He transformed them.

And every believer is still being transformed today.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

Before making a permanent decision...

Pause.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆.

𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺.

𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹.

Ask yourself:

"𝗜𝗳 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲, 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘆?"

𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚.

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡.

(1 Corinthians 10:23)

As Christians, our identity is not found in our appearance.

It is found in Christ.

So whether your skin remains untouched...

Or whether your story already includes tattoos or piercings...

Remember this:

The greatest mark a believer can carry is not ink.

It is the image of Christ being formed within.

𝗦𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆...

𝗔𝘀𝗸 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁.

Because a life that reflects Jesus will always be more beautiful than anything we could ever place on our skin.
