A New Home. The Same Faithful God!

Last Sunday, as we celebrated another year of God’s goodness and gathered together in our new home, we were reminded of one unchanging truth:

𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐅𝐔𝐋.

He is faithful in His promises.
He remains faithful even in our weakness.
He sustains us through trials and temptations.
He is faithful to forgive, cleanse, and save.
And His faithfulness continues from generation to generation. 🤍

Through every season, every challenge, every prayer, and every step that brought us here, God has never failed us.

As we step into this new chapter, we do so with confidence—not because we know everything the future holds, but because we know the One who holds our future.

Thank You, Lord, for bringing us this far.
Our story is still being written, and we know that You will continue to be faithful!

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments…” — Deut. 7:9

Beyond our own efforts, our church family stands today solely because of His enduring grace and unchanging love. Great is His faithfulness!

Tomorrow, we will gather together.

We'll sing.
We'll pray.
We'll hear God's Word.
We'll fellowship with one another.

But before we prepare our clothes, our schedules, and everything else for Sunday, let us take a moment to prepare our hearts.

Worship is not simply about showing up in a building. It is about coming before God with reverence, gratitude, humility, and faith.

So as we prepare for tomorrow, perhaps we can ask ourselves:
𝘼𝙢 𝙄 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥?
𝘼𝙢 𝙄 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙙'𝙨 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙙?
𝙄𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙄 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙃𝙞𝙢?
𝘼𝙢 𝙄 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙫𝙚—𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨?

Don't let Sunday become just another routine. Come expecting.
Come to listen. Come ready. Come ready to meet with God. 🤍

Psalm 23 reminds us of something we can easily forget: 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞.

David describes the Lord as his Shepherd—the One who provides, leads, restores, protects, and remains present through every season.

The Shepherd doesn't promise that the path will always be easy.

There may still be valleys.
There may still be uncertainty.
There may still be moments when we don't understand where the road is leading.

But we have the assurance that the Shepherd is with us.

He leads us when we don't know which way to go.
He restores us when we are weary.
He comforts us when we walk through dark valleys.
And He prepares a table even in the presence of our enemies.

The question is not whether we will encounter difficult seasons.

The question is: Who are we following through them?

May we learn to trust the Shepherd's voice, follow His leading, and rest in His presence.

As we look forward to gathering with God's people tomorrow, let's remember that worship begins long before the first song is sung. We prepare our hearts by coming before the Lord with gratitude, humility, and a willingness to hear His Word.

"𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠; 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐲𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞!" — 𝐏𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝟗𝟓:𝟐 (𝐄𝐒𝐕)

Before tomorrow's service, take a few moments to pray:
❤️Ask God to prepare your heart.
🙌Pray for those who will preach, lead worship, and serve.
📖Pray that lives will be transformed by His Word.
✝️Come expecting to meet with Him.

May tomorrow not simply be another church service, but a joyful gathering where Christ is honored and His people are strengthened.

𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿?

It's easy to say, “God hears our prayers.” And yes, Scripture gives us confidence that God knows and hears what we bring before Him. But the Bible also gives us a deeper picture.

“𝙄𝙛 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙.” — 𝙋𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙢 𝟲𝟲:𝟭𝟴 (𝙀𝙎𝙑)

And Scripture also says:

“𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙝𝙞𝙢, 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙛 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙨𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙪𝙨.” — 𝟭 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝟱:𝟭𝟰 (𝙀𝙎𝙑)

So does God hear every prayer?

God is never unaware of our prayers. But Scripture does not teach that every prayer is received by God in the same way, nor that every request will be granted. God is not a divine vending machine where we simply ask and receive whatever we want.

Prayer is relationship.

We come before a holy and sovereign God, trusting that His will is wiser than ours. Sometimes He answers yes. Sometimes no. Sometimes He tells us to wait. And sometimes, through prayer, He changes our hearts before He changes our circumstances.

That is why Jesus taught us to pray:

“𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚.” — 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙬 𝟲:𝟭𝟬 (𝙀𝙎𝙑)

Our confidence in prayer isn't that God will give us everything we ask for. Our confidence is that God is good, God is wise, and God hears those who come to Him according to His will.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 “𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞” 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡?

We live in a world that constantly tells us we need more.
More money.
More possessions.
More success.
More security.

But Jesus warns us about something deeper than simply wanting more—covetousness. Covetousness is an unquenchable desire for more, believing that the next thing we have will finally satisfy us.

In Luke 12:13–21, Jesus tells the parable of the rich fool. He had more than enough, yet his heart was still focused on accumulating more for himself. The problem wasn't that he had possessions. The problem was that his possessions had him.

Everything we have—our money, time, abilities, opportunities, and possessions—has been entrusted to us by God.

So the question isn't simply: “How much has God given me?”

but: “How am I stewarding what God has given me?”

Because we can spend our entire lives trying to gain more, only to discover that what we accumulated cannot satisfy the deepest needs of our soul.

Jesus asks:
“What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?”
— Matthew 16:26

𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

God has entrusted something to every one of us.
The question is: What are we doing with it?

𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?

This is one of the most common questions believers ask.

Jesus Himself gives us a profound answer:

"𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐦𝐲 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐞. 𝐈 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝." — 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟎:𝟐𝟕–𝟐𝟖 (𝐄𝐒𝐕)

Our confidence is not found in our ability to hold on to Christ, but in Christ's power to hold on to us. Those who truly belong to Him are known by Him, hear His voice, and follow Him. Their security rests not in human effort, but in God's saving grace and His faithful promises.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐥𝐲. Instead, it produces gratitude, obedience, and a growing desire to walk with Christ. 𝐀 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.

As Paul wrote: "...𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙖 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩." — 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝟭:𝟲 (𝙀𝙎𝙑)

May this truth fill our hearts with confidence—not in ourselves, but in our faithful Savior who never lets go of His own.

God's love welcomes us with open arms, calling us into a relationship with Him through His grace. But God's love is never separated from His holiness.

The Bible teaches us that the fear of the Lord is not a fearful dread of God, but a deep reverence that shapes the way we live. It moves us to reject what dishonors Him and to pursue what is good.

"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐃 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥. 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞." — 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝟖:𝟏𝟑 (𝐄𝐒𝐕)

The more we understand God's love, the more we desire to honor Him. And the more we honor Him, the more we turn away from the things that seek to destroy our relationship with Him.

May we be drawn by His love and guided by a reverent fear that leads us in the path of wisdom.

There are decisions we must make, conversations we need to have, and challenges we cannot face in our own strength. The good news is that God never asks us to rely on our own wisdom alone.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."
— James 1:5 (ESV)

Today, let's pause and ask the Lord for wisdom—not only to make the right decisions, but also to speak with kindness, respond with grace, and walk faithfully according to His will.

🙏Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to give wisdom generously to those who ask. Guide our thoughts, our words, and our actions today. Help us to trust You in every decision and to reflect Christ in all that we do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
