Text: 1 John 2:25-27

MAIN IDEA
-Because the Holy Spirit permanently resides (indwells) in every true believer, we are equipped to discern truth from deception and remain anchored in the promise of eternal life.
-Dahil Ang Banal na Espiritu ay permanenteng nananahan sa bawat tunay na Mananampalataya, tayo ay may Sapat na kakayahan upang malaman kung ano Ang katotohanan taliwas sa kasinungalingan, at manatiling naka-angkla sa pangako ng Buhay na walang-hanggan.

LESSONS:
1. Truth is Protected by Indwelling Reality [Ministry of the Holy Spirit] Not Intellectual Elitism (vv. 26–27a).
-The Spirit (chrisma) given to every believer acts as a compass. Truth is not an exclusive commodity reserved for spiritual elites or hyper-intellectual scholars, it is revealed by God to all His children. The Holy Spirit inside you bears witness to the truth of Jesus Christ, making the believer discerning against external deceptions.

2. The Gospel We Received is Fully Sufficient (vv. 25, 27b).
-The primary Ministry of the Holy Spirit's teaching is not to introduce brand-new, novel doctrines, but to confirm and deepen what was "from the beginning." The end result of this anointing is the fulfillment of God's ultimate promise, which is eternal life, the unbroken fellowship with God both now (present-reality) and forever (endless days of future glory).

APPLICATION:
1. Cultivate Spiritual Discernment:
Don't be easily swayed by every new trend, sensational teacher, or "secret strategy" for spiritual success. If a message alters, adds to, or subtracts from the person and finished work of Jesus Christ, Automatically reject it.
Note: Anyone who adds or eliminates to the personhood of Christ, contrary to the teaching of the Apostles is an Anti-Christ.

2. Rest in the Sufficiency of the Gospel, which is the truth; The power of the Spirit where our anointing comes from:
If you are in Christ, you are not a second-class Christian waiting for a "special" spiritual upgrade. The Holy Spirit abides in you. You have full access to God, full inclusion in His promise, and the capacity to know and walk in His truth every single day.

MESSAGE: Ang nakaliligtas na pagkakilala kay Jesus ay mananaig laban sa huwad na pagtuturo tungkol sa Kanya at magpapanatili sa Kanya at sa Ama.

-Walang magkakaila kay Jesus kundi sa kanila na hindi nahagip ng salita.
-Kung mali ang pagkakilala kay Jesus, mali rin ang magiging paraan ng pagpapakilala mo kay Jesus.
-Ang kristiyanismo lamang ang naniniwala na makikilala natin si Jesus sa pamamagitan ng mga nakasama Niya.
-There is no true knowledge of God, without true saving faith in Christ.
-Nagpapakilala si Jesus sa pamamagitan ng mga biyaya;
a. Ministry of the word.
b. Sacraments.
c. Prayer.
d. Communion

PUNTO:
[1] Ang hindi paniniwala kay Jesus ay katumabs ng hindi paninwala sa Ama.

CHALLENGES:
1. Palagi sana tayong matagpuan na patuloy na nagaaral ng salita.
2. Bilang bahagi ng iglesya, isangkot mo ang iyong sarili sa mga gawain faithfully, and intentionally.
3. Manatili sainyo ang narinig ninyo buhat ng pasimula.

Ang pagtingin sa kadakilaan ni Kristo ay maglilikha ng kumpyansa, pagpupursigi, pagpapakumbaba at pagasa ano man ang sirkumtansya.
-Reform church is always reforming according to the word of God.
-Naging sapat ang katapatan at pangako ng Diyos.
-Hindi convenient ang usapin ng pananampalataya.
-The size of your faith is often measure by the size of your Christ.

CHALLENGES:
1. May convenient bang pananampalataya? Kung meron, saan?
2. Umuunlad ba tayo bilang Kristiyano, at bilang bahagi ng Iglesia?
3. Magkaroon ng buhay pagsunod kay Kristo.

Title: Kingdom Priority

MESSAGE: A Christian's greatest concern is not to seek life's necessities, but to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

[1] We are to 'Seek first'
- to inquire, to search after, to think, to strive after, to aim and desire. This 'seeking' requires our strength, heartmind and soul.

[2] The Kingdom of God and His righteousness
- Submitting under God's rule, this must be our mantra/rule in life when ordering our priorities, it is wrong to think that this is just another priority to fit unto our list of priorities. Rather in everything we do, we seek first the kingdom of God.
[3] 'And all these things will be added to you.'
-It is a promise of our Lord Jesus Christ, that when God's kingdom becomes our first priority, we trust that our needs will be provided according to His faithful promise.

"If you can leave your worries with Christ, you have left them in good hands" - C.H Spurgeon

NOTE: Since then, God is always faithful to His promise to provide, and we are just too ungrateful to appreciate because we confused our wants and needs (and what God promise is our needs)
"The secret to Happiness is not more, it is contentment"

CHALLENGE:
-Beware of Earthly concern that surpasses our main priority.
-Be not like the third soil in the parable who fell among the thorns

CONCLUSION:
-Anxiety is worrying about the future, and we are prohibit to worry for tomorrow is not promised! (And) "Why are you worried about your future when you have been loved from all eternity past?" -J. Mcarthur

Christian Proclamation
Preliminary: Every single day, we are bombarded by thousands of voices. Advertisements tell us what to buy. Social media tells us how to look. News anchors tell us what to fear. In a world drowning in noise, it is easy to forget that the entire history of the Christian faith started
not with a political movement, or a marketing campaign, but with a
simple, powerful voice shouting in the wilderness.

TEXT: Mga Taga-Efeso 6:19-20
"Christian proclamation is the authoritative, Spirit-empowered heralding of the Word of God centered entirely on the person
and work of Jesus Christ."
[1] In christian proclamation, prayer is indespensable.
-We need to realize that in our proclamation we are in a spiritual warfare.
-Our prayer must always be consumed with the spread of the Gospel and God's Word.

[2] In christian proclamation, the Word must be given.
-Our proclamation is not about us. It is not about our testimony.
-Our proclamation should be rooted in the Word declaring the mystery of the Gospel.

[3] In christian proclamation, remember that you are an ambassador.
-An ambassador was an official representative of a government or kingdom.
-Paul speaks on behalf of Christ, as an ambassador of King Jesus.
β€œWe are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us” (2 Cor. 5:20).

[4] In christian proclamation, we need to pray for boldness.
-Most Christians struggle with fear in sharing God’s Word.
-Let us continually call on the Holy Spirit to empower Us to share his Word with boldness.

[5] Christian proclamation is our obligation.
-1 Cor. 9:16
-A clear and bold proclamation is our obligation.

CHALLENGES:
-As ambassadors for Christ, let us boldly proclaim the Gospel, relying upon the empowerment of the Holy Spirit with a
sense of sacred obligation.

The Antichrists and True Believers
Text: 1 John 2:18-21
Message : The true knowledge of God in Christ will guard us against deception rampant in the last hour.

**The Antichrists
-The prediction should informs us and alarms us.
-They hold and teach a distorted understanding of Jesus Christ. (Ch.2:22; 4:3; 2 John 7.)
-Their rise signal dangers in the church then and now.

Point 1: Believers should be aware that we are living in the last hour - a time marked by spiritual deception and opposition to Christ.
-They once professor of apostolic doctrine.
-By their defection they have given clear evidence of their true character.
Point 2: What is counterfeit cannot remain for ever hidden.
Challenge: Daily examine our own faith and ensuring it is rooted in Christ!

**The True Believers
-They are indwelt and enable by the Spirit to comprehend all truths about Jesus Christ.
-Believers have both the objective standard of truth - the words of God to measured all claims of spiritual knowledge and the inward work of the Holy Spirit to discern the truth against falsehood.

Point 1: It is through the illumination of the Spirit of truth that we know the truth.
-They have been assured of concerning their orthodoxy. To confirm the truth they already know.
-They also know the character of that truth - wholly true and self-consistent and having no lie!
Challenge: As believers, we are called to be grounded in the truth of the gospel.

Pastoral Implications:
1.Know the spiritual status and doctrinal comprehension of each member.
2. Address all doubts and questions concerning our beliefs.
3. Evangelistic challenge should be present in weekly preaching of God words.
4. Have a periodic review about Christology in Sunday School class.
5. Warn believers about the reality of the evil of deception.

We are blessed and grateful beyond expectations for the life of our new baptized distant members in Mariveles, Bataan β€”His Community Outreach. The Lord continually blessed the ministry in Bataan by saving these young people (Gab, Jil, and Jin) and adding them unto us.

We praise God for the meaningful fellowship and fruitful ministry of the word.

MESSAGE: Bilang mananampalataya dapat nating mariing labanan ang tukso na ibigin ang sanlibutan dahil ito ay salungat sa Diyos, hindi nagmula sa Kanya at lumilipas lamang.
-Ang pagiging makamundo ay dapat iwasan natin sa lahat ng pamamaraan.

Why should we not love the world?
[1] Hindi ito tugma sa Diyos.
-Love for the world is not compatible with the love of God.
-Imposibleng pagsabayin ang pagmamahal sa Diyos at ang mundo.
[2] Ang pinagmulan nito ay hindi galing sa Diyos.
-Desires of the flesh, eyes (Matt. 6:22), and pride of life.
-God is life and in Him there is no darkness.

[3] Dahil ito ay panandalian lamang.
-Loving the world is a bad investment, it only gives a short time joy. This world is passing.

CHALLENGES:
-Ano ang mimamahal at mga pinapahalagahan mo?
-Saan nanggagaling ang minamahal at mga pinapahalagahan mo?
-Saan ka dadalhin ng mga minamahal at pinapahalagahan mo?

APPLICATION:
-Be a student of our own life and see if it came from God.
-Remember the brevity of life.
-Look unto Jesus and avoid the temptations of worldliness.
