Sunday Worship Highlights βοΈ 08-23-26
π Matthew 16:24 (NIV)
"Then Jesus said to his disciples,βWhoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me."
This Sunday, we learned about following rules is never enough, like the child who obeyed every task but missed spending time with his father, we can be busy doing "right things" yet miss the most important part: our relationship with God. True faith isnβt just about checking off a list; itβs about knowing Him, loving Him, and walking closely with Him each day. Even when our faith feels weak, we can rest in this truth: when your faithfulness is weak, remember Godβs faithfulness is strong. He never fails, and His love for us doesnβt depend on how perfectly we follow the rules.
God also gives us something far better than rules written on stone, a better covenant, better promises, and a better heart. He writes His law on our minds and hearts, forgives our sins completely, and makes us His people so we can know Him personally. Change doesnβt start with trying harder; it starts from the inside out, as He transforms our hearts and draws us closer to Himself. Just like Zacchaeus, Peter, and Paul β whose lives were completely changed by Jesus β God offers us a fresh start, a restored relationship, and a forever hope that nothing can take away. πβ¨
