Catholic Church celebrates Aug. 22 as the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary and was placed in the Church's calendar on 1954.

The title "Our Lady, Queen of Peace" was first coined on early 16th century when Jean de Joyeuse presented a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Françoise e Voisins, his wife, on their wedding day. The statue was distinct as Mary was depicted holding an olive branch in Her right hand and Jesus, the Prince of Peace seated in Her left arm.

It is not the royal blood, but Mary's motherly relationship makes her a Queen, the Queen of both heaven and earth and of peace.

As we celebrate the feast of the Queenship of Mary and of our parish, here is the schedule of Holy Mass and events to held at Mary Queen of Peace Parish on August 22, 2021.

6:30 am - Holy Mass
8:45 am - Rite of the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
9:00 am - Concelebrated Fiesta Mass (Presider: Bishop Nolly C. Buco, D.D.)
- Rite of Installation of the 4th Parish Priest
1:00 pm and 2:00 pm - Baptism
3:30 pm - Rosary for Peace and Healing
5:00 pm - Holy Mass

All Masses will be live streamed in our parish page as well as the Rite of Coronation and Rosary for healing and peace.

As one community, let us ask for the intercession of our patroness for peace and cure for this pandemic.
