Our docu film ALINGAWNGAW finally reaches other scholars, filmmakers, and creatives across the country and the region during the 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 at the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 held at Mindanao State University–GenSan, General Santos City, October 03, 2026.

Through the raw rhythm of hip-hop and underground poetry, Treb Monteras II’s Respeto links the trauma of Martial Law to the killings of the Duterte-era Drug War, exposing how the violence of the past continues to bleed into the present. Alongside the documentary Alingawngaw, this afternoon's screening captures how the youth push back against state violence even as the system tries to mute their cries.
