Today, we remember with gratitude the life of Pope Francis, a shepherd who taught us to see God in the poor, the forgotten, and the ordinary.

A Jesuit at heart, he showed us that faith is not lived from a distance, but in closeness: to listen, to accompany, to love with mercy.

In his life, we saw the Gospel made simple, and made real.

As we mark his first death anniversary, may we continue the mission he lived so faithfully—
to find God in all things, and to bring His compassion into a wounded world.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.

Today is the first death anniversary of Pope Francis. We honor his extraordinary life and enduring legacy.

We offer this heartfelt tribute, accompanied by Iesu Panis Vitae, a moving composition by Fr. Manoling Francisco, SJ and Fr. Rene Javellana, SJ, performed by the Bukas Palad Music Ministry.

This piece was specially written for the Closing Mass of his Papal Visit to the Philippines in 2015—a moment that touched the hearts of millions of Filipinos.

Pope Francis, your humility and boundless compassion have left an indelible mark on humanity. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.

𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐃𝐄 𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐎 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐘 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐘

Today, the world stands still. The heavens are silent, and the tomb is sealed. On this 𝑺𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒅𝒐 𝑫𝒆 𝑮𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂, we enter into the quiet darkness between the sorrow of the Cross and the brilliant light of the Resurrection. It is a day of waiting, of silence, and of profound reflection.

As we stand before the closed tomb, we remember how the disciples and the Blessed Mother must have felt their hearts heavy with grief, their minds filled with questions, yet holding onto a flicker of faith. It is in this silence that we learn to trust even when we cannot see, and to hope even when all seems lost.

But let us remember that this darkness is not the end. It is the sacred pause before the greatest victory in history. While the Savior rests, hope is quietly rising. While the world sleeps, God is at work, preparing the way for new life. This is the day of God’s hidden action, where the power of love is being forged in the quietness, ready to burst forth in glory.

So let us take this time to quiet our hearts, to pray, and to wait with patience and love. Let us prepare our souls to welcome the Risen Lord, knowing that after every night comes the dawn, and after every death comes new life.

May this Holy Saturday bring peace to your hearts, strengthen your faith, and fill you with the sure and certain hope of the joy that is to come.

𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘

Today, we stand in solemn remembrance of the ultimate sacrifice made by our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross. On this Good Friday, we reflect on His immense love, His suffering, and His willingness to give His life so that we may be saved. It is a day of silence, prayer, and deep gratitude as we contemplate the weight of His burden and the victory He won for us all.

As we look upon the Cross, may we be reminded of how much we are loved. May His sacrifice give us strength in times of weakness, hope in moments of despair, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Let us open our hearts to receive His mercy and strive to live lives worthy of His great love.

May the grace of our Savior be with you and your family today and always.

The design features symbolic elements a white dove representing the Holy Spirit, a red drape evoking sacrifice, and a sacred heart at the center of "Holy" all set against a church backdrop to honor the day’s profound significance in Christian faith.
