Today, the Church joyfully celebrates the Solemnity of Pentecost, the fulfillment of the Lordโ€™s promise as the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, strengthening them to proclaim the Gospel with courage and faith. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Church was born and continues its mission of evangelization, unity, and service in the world.

May the same Spirit renew our hearts, deepen our faith, and guide us to become true witnesses of Christ in our daily lives. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.

On the Feast of Pentecost, Christians commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, gathered around the Mother of the Lord (Acts chapter 2). The feast is celebrated on the 50th and final day of the Easter season.

Pentecost Sunday marks the end of the first novena. Pentecost (Whitsunday), with Christmas and Easter, ranks among the great feasts of Christianity. It commemorates not only the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and Disciples, but also the fruits and effects of that event: the completion of the work of redemption, the fullness of grace for the Church and its children, and the gift of faith for all nations.

On this Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, we rejoice in Christโ€™s return to the Father and in His enduring promise to remain with His Church. In the Gospel (Matthew 28:20), the Lord assures us: โ€œAnd behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.โ€ Strengthened by this promise, we are sent forth to proclaim the Good News and to bear witness to His presence in the world.
As a community of faith, may we continue to trust in the Lord who never leaves us, and courageously fulfill the mission entrusted to us as His disciples.

Sa gitna ng makabagong panahon ng komunikasyon, nawaโ€™y gamitin natin ang bawat salita, larawan, at mensaheng ating ibinabahagi bilang kasangkapan ng katotohanan, pag-ibig, at pag-asa. Bilang mga tagasunod ni Kristo, tinatawag tayong maging tapat na tagapaghatid ng Mabuting Balita at mga saksi ng Kaniyang presensya sa digital na mundo.

Sa pagdiriwang ng ika-60 na World Communications Sunday, ipinapanalangin natin ang lahat ng mga media workers, communicators, content creators, at mga lingkod ng Simbahan. Nawaโ€™y patuloy silang gabayan ng Espiritu Santo upang mapangalagaan ang dignidad ng bawat tao at maihatid ang mensahe ng Diyos nang may katotohanan, malasakit, at pananampalataya.
