𝐃𝐚𝐲 1: 𝐾𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑦𝑎, 𝑀𝑎ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑎 𝐷𝑎𝑦

Families of Santa Ignacia 1st Ward gathered around the table as they joined Kainang Pamilya, Mahalaga Day—marking Day 1 of the National Family Week.

Beyond the meal, it was a moment to reconnect, strengthen bonds, and cherish the family as a God-given blessing.

A home is more than four walls—it is where love is learned, faith is strengthened, and forever begins.

As National Family Week 2026 opens under the banner “𝐁𝐅𝐅: 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬”— Day 1 invites families to return to the heart of what makes a home truly meaningful: being together.

Today, Kainang Pamilya, Mahalaga Day reminds us that a shared table can become a sacred gathering place—where stories are told, laughter is shared, friendships are welcomed, and gratitude is offered to God.

Every meal can be more than nourishment, every conversation more than words, and every moment together an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that matter beyond this life.

As the Savior taught, “𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐲𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞.” — Doctrine and Covenants 38:27

Today, open the door, gather around the table, invite someone in, and make room for love. Because when Christ is at the center of the home, families are not merely living together—they are building forever.

𝖥𝖺𝗆𝗂𝗅𝗒 𝖶𝖾𝖾𝗄 '26 | 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙙—central to His plan for our eternal destiny.

From shared meals and movie nights to stories of faith and moments of appreciation, may every activity remind us that the family is one of Heavenly Father’s greatest gifts. When Christ is at the center of our homes: love becomes stronger, faith grows deeper, and families become eternal.

A week to gather, serve, laugh, share, and create memories—but most of all, to draw our families closer to 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵.

Let this week be more than a celebration—let it be a reminder to choose Christ, cherish family, and build a home where His love can always dwell.

From creation to the promised land, the Old Testament points us to Jesus Christ. It tells that God is merciful, God created man in his own image, and surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

As we continue to seek Him first, trust His plans, and obey what He wants us to do and to be—prophets and people of old are the testament, even us, that the Lord shall bless thee above measure with the blessings of the Gospel, which are the blessings of salvation, even of life eternal.

We testify that Jesus Christ lives—He is our Savior and Redeemer; Creator of us and even the worlds without numbers; our Light and our Shepherd.

As the first Sunday of the year comes, 32 youth's of Santa Ignacia 1st were gathered in a room filled with laughter, love, and the Spirit— to renewed their selves, to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ, and to study and learn more about the teachings of Christ in the Bible (Old Testament) this year.

Because of your faithfulness— by His hand, you will be able to bring down every Goliath that appears in your life.
