Ako si (NAME), isang Lingkod ng Dambana ng Parokya ni San Roque, buong pusong nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng 4th Parish Altar Servers’ Day na may temang:

“Guided by Christ, Serving with Purpose.”

Ang buwan ng Agosto ay isang natatanging panahon upang kilalanin at pasalamatan ang lahat ng mga Lingkod ng Dambana—mga kabataang handang maglingkod sa Panginoon sa pamamagitan ng Kanyang Banal na Altar.

Sa bawat pagtugon sa tawag, bawat paglilingkod, at bawat sakripisyong iniaalay, nawa’y patuloy tayong gabayan ni Kristo upang ang ating paglilingkod ay hindi lamang maging isang tungkulin, kundi isang makahulugan at taos-pusong pagtugon sa Kanyang panawagan.

In his homily, Fr. Raymund said:
"Kumapit tayo sa saya niya para lang sa gayon, mawala man tayo, makakabalik pa rin. Mawala man tayo, matatagpuan pa rin natin. Mawala man tayo, pero dahil sa saya ng ating Ina, alam natin tayo ay makakauwi sa dapat nating kauuwian. HUWAG PO NATING BITAWAN ANG SAYA NG ATING MAHAL NA INA, SAPAGKAT ANG SAYA NIYA ANG MAGDADALA SA ATIN PABALIK SA KANYANG ANAK NA SI HESUS."

As our celebration reminds us, like Mary, who always leads us closer to her Son, Jesus, may we never lose sight of the loving guidance of our Blessed Mother.

Mary, our Mother, does not keep us for herself. Rather, she gently leads us to Christ. When we feel lost, she points us back to Jesus; when we are weary, she reminds us to trust in Him; and when we wander, she helps us find our way home.
