As we receive the ashes, may we be reminded of our humble beginnings and our call to return to God. ‘𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧.’

Today, we begin the solemn season of Lent, a 40-day journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving leading to the celebration of Easter.

𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 | 𝐒𝐭𝐨. 𝐍𝐢ñ𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡

The faithful are invited to participate in the Eucharistic celebrations this February, marking the beginning of the Lenten season.

𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 marks the final day before Lent begins. Traditionally, it is a day of preparation and confession, calling the faithful to repentance and spiritual readiness.

𝐀𝐬𝐡 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 signifies the start of Lent, a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. The imposition of ashes reminds us of our mortality and our call to conversion: “𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏.”

May this season lead us to deeper faith, humility, and renewal.

𝓐𝓷𝓷𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓬𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽

The faithful of Sto. Niño Parish are warmly invited to bring their old blessed palm branches (palaspas) from last year to the Church or Parish Office on or before 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

These palms will be reverently burned on Shrove Tuesday, 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟕, and prepared as ashes for Ash Wednesday, 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟖.

Let us come together in this meaningful and sacred tradition as we prayerfully prepare our hearts and our community for the Lenten season.

Last January 25, 2026, the community of Our Lady of Peace conducted its Vocation Promotion Masses at St. Joseph the Worker Parish - Cut cut, Capas, and Sto. Niño Parish, Bamban. This visit allowed our seminarians to share their journey of faith and inspire the local youth to consider the call to the priesthood.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Rev. Fr. Romel F. Vergara and Rev. Fr. Pablo Mungcal for their hospitality and for graciously accommodating our seminarians. Your unwavering support in fostering vocations is a vital contribution to the future of our Diocese.
