When Disillusioned, Focus On God | Paul De Vera | October 4, 2026

There are seasons when we feel disappointed, discouraged, or confused by what God is allowing.

Like Habakkuk, we may ask, “How long, Lord?”

But when life doesn’t make sense, we can choose to focus on God.

Turn to Him with your disappointments.
Wait on Him when you don’t have the answers.
Worship Him even when circumstances haven’t changed.

We may not always understand His ways, but we can trust that He is still at work, His promises remain true, and He is our strength.

Don’t quit. Keep your eyes on God.

If you’re struggling to see how holy God is because of injustice, remember that He will not let evil have the final say and He has appointed a time for justice to prevail.

There will be seasons when we don’t understand what God is doing or why He allows certain things to happen. But even in the waiting and uncertainty, God remains faithful.

So we choose to trust His ways, wait on His timing, and worship Him through it all.

When you can’t see the way forward, keep your eyes on God.

Never underestimate what God can do through the youth!

When we’re young, we might think it’s better to wait until we’re ready or more qualified before answering God’s calling in our lives. But throughout Scripture, God has always used young people to make a major impact on the course of history!

Every willing heart. Every helping hand. Every act of service matters to God.

When we serve the Lord with all our hearts, our service becomes worship.

And if God is stirring your heart to serve, there is a place for you. Come, use what God has given you, and be part of what He is doing.

“Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord.”
