Believing in Jesus

The religious leaders of Jesus' day had a hard time believing that Jesus was the Son of God because he didn't look the way they thought the Messiah should look or do what they thought he should do.
Little kids running around the temple area had an easier time seeing ( and praising )
Jesus for who he really is. So what about you? Before you became a Christian, what did you think Jesus was like?
How did you find out the truth? Now here's the big question:
How can you help other people discover the truth about Jesus?

Impatience

What are some of the consequences of impatience?

1 Samuel 13:11-13

At sinabi ni Samuel, Ano ang iyong ginawa? At sinabi ni Saul, Sapagka't aking nakita na ang bayan ay nangangalat sa akin, at hindi ka dumarating sa mga takdang araw, at ang mga Filisteo ay nagpupulong sa Michmas;

God uses life circumstances to develop your patience. Patient waiting is harder than running ahead, but it may keep you from running into disaster.
Saul's impatience led him to sin and caused him to lose his kingdom. Learning to wait is difficult, but the only way to learn patience is to practice it----by waiting!

Psalm 37:34

Hintayin mo ang Panginoon, at ingatan mo ang kaniyang daan, At ibubunyi ka upang manahin mo ang lupain: Pagka nahiwalay ang masama, iyong makikita.

Doubts can play with your mind...

If you let them, They can even make you question your Faith.
You will always encounter doubt in your life, but you can work through it by reminding yourself that your salvation doesn't depend on you, but on God.

The Bible Say's

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said,
"Why did you doubt?" (Mt 14:31)

Growing in Your Faith

What are some things that can "choke" God's Word from your Life and keep you from growing as a Christian?
For instance, do you have any friends who encourage you to blow off church and youth group meetings?
Do you have any priorities that make it hard for you to find time to study God's Word?
Are you obsessed with earning more money to spend on yourself?
Do you have any habits or unconfessed sins that make it difficult for you to talk to God with a clear conscience?
What do you think God wants you to do with the "thorns" in your life?

>>>Matthew 13:22

The Bible says

The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

Dealing With Opposition to Your Faith

Unless everyone you care about is a Christian, at some point your faith is going to cause some friction between you and a friend or family member. Then you'll be faced with a choice:
You can either sweep your faith under the rug and agree not to
Talk about it in order to keep the peace, or you can make it clear to the person how much your faith means to you and let God worry about protecting the friendship.
Your choice will say a lot about who means more to you----your friends and family or God.

Dealing With Enemies

Do you have an actual enemy, someone you can't stand or someone who can't stand you ( or both )? Do you remember what it was that made you enemies?
What do you think would happen if you swallowed your pride and apologised to that person for your part in the conflict--even if it's just for having a negative attitude toward him or her?
What if you supported that apology with a few sincere words about your desire to get along? Do you think you'd be made fun of, ignored, yelled at or laughed out of the room? You might be. But your gesture of love might also reduce your enemy total by one. And who wants enemies anyway?

( Matthew 5:43 - 48 ) Love for Enemies ;)

>> No Grudges

Here are three simple truths to keep in mind:

(1) People are guaranteed to fail you.

Whether inadvertently or on purpose, people will do things that hurt your feelings. Count on it.

(2) When you are wronged, your first impulse will be to get even.

We all have a natural tendency to want to make people experience the same kind of hurt, dissapointment or anger that they make us feel. In other words, we keep score. And when we dwell on that score, we become bitter.

(3) God tell us to forgive ( see Matthew 6:12-15; Luke 17:3; Colossians 3:13).

By resisting the urge to keep a record of how others have wronged us-by canceling the debts they owe us ( which, by the way, is what forgiveness is all about )--we keep bitterness from taking root in our lives and turning us into angry, resentful creatures. Living with bitterness can eat us up and keep us from enjoying the good things God places in our lives.
